  4. Mid to mild exhaust. Loud exhaust coupled with aftermarket catless header will likely be unbearable.

This combination has consistently shown the best performance increase with the FT86. Typical tuner upgrades don't apply to this car. Catbacks alone don't add power to the car. The intake and exhaust you just purchased very likely added no hp to your car.
thanks so much for helping me out ! i did get the evo which i dont regret due to me liking the deep loud tone .. i do regret ordering the intake but i am very bad at waiting ... lol btw .. isnt this car suppose to be 200hp ? on dynos it only shows about 150hp!
i did hear alot of bad stuff of borla ... so i didnt order the headers .. but i will look in too the open flash right now ! thanks again so much !

-Greddy Intake
-Borla Headers UEL or EL ?! << idk which ones
-Ecutek Stage 2 Tune or UniChip ?? << idk which one either ..

Ive never done performance in my life .. ive done the whole bodykit , rims and ect ..

I honestly just want to the know what has greater power and what route to go with ... thanks so much guys !!!
Just got the car and never done performance before?

Leave it stock for several months and save your money while you get a feel for the car, what it can do stock and just what you want out of it.

Buying parts right off the bat is a great way to be buying twice or even thrice. Don't do that, unless you want the rest of us snagging your barely-used parts for way less than what you paid for them.

It's very easy to spend LOTS of money you didn't plan on just upgrading according to a plan you thought out. It's even easier when you don't know what you want.

So, figure that out first and then start doing your research. Don't worry. We'll still be around and there will be even more stuff out there then. Take your time, save your money, and enjoy your new car as-is. They're pretty awesome straight from the dealer anyway.

Yeah I agree with SirBrass. Just drive the brand new car for a solid month or two and get the feel of how the car operates and everything. After that do whatever you want to the car. Going back to your original question of EL or UEL, go with EL for the MAXIMUM performance. Go with the UEL for the rumble that most Subbie heads love. I, myself, will go with an UEL header in the future cause the renown Subbie rumble is irresistible and orgasmic. Also, having a cat in headers make a difference in terms of noise and performance. In the end, you'll decide whether you want more power and sound(in theory with more power = more attention from cops due to louder car) or power and a livable car that's able to be daily driven. In my opinion, the EVO 3 Catback alone is unbearable with the constant drone, not to mention adding an uncatted header on top of it...

Thanks to everyone who recommended the OpenFlash Tablet and OpenFlash Header!
@junior_reyez, please email us at sales@vishnutuning.com if you have any questions about the OFT and OFH. We do currently offer a special combo price for them when purchased together. Good luck with your build
Cheers,
Shiv

Do you have a dyno in your garage? Unless you have the world's most sensitive ass, you are not going to 'feel' any power increase with any of the parts you ordered so far. It has been dyno proven that drop in filters are a much better option than any 'in-bay' intake currently available.

No problem. I was a bit disappointed with the episode. A bit boring compared to some of the goods ones from last season!

Discussed in another thread, but here you go, IMHO best headers...

Headers
UEL - Boxer "WRX" rumble
  • JDL $950
  • OFH $515 (with OFT)
  • FT86SF Catless $900
EL - Race car sound
  • Nameless (~$1k)
Catted - Emissions legal, but you live in TX so probably not problem. A tune will remove cattless CEL and cattless makes more powaaah.
  • FT86SpeedFactory (FT86SF) $949

JDL also has an EL offering too.
