Question. I have a 5 channel audio amp hooked up to my battery as well as my HID kit. Will the new starter battery support that? Right now the amp is just supporting my JL enclosed 10 inch so I'm only powering ~200 watts rms. It a good alpine amp so I'm hoping its not drawing too much power. Thoughts?

Can't speak for your audio system. ( I think bu tang is running a crazy ass system on the recommended battery) but I have the hid lights with no issues.

Yeah. We are in the middle of a drought out here so it's been easy to keep clean.

Thanks for the compliments on the color. I love the red too. I always knew I wanted it and bought it sight unseen.

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

For those who may have missed it @shiv@vishnu posted a new dyno with the tq250 and tq300 with the standard battery packs and openflash header(s).

Edit added my runs to the post. It looks like there are gains to be had with the header. If I had shiv's run I could compare and contrast better.(second picture: red e85 and green 91 octane)

Here is a reasonable comparison between your car (RED) with a cat-less front pipe and TQ250 and our car (BLUE) with the OFH and TQ250:

Take it with a grain of salt because it was taken on different OFT maps, on different days, in different conditions. But it does suggest that running the Phantom SC with a good header is of more benefit than running it with a stock header and cat-less front pipe. Makes sense since the header approach reduces exhaust back-pressure while also managing exhaust pulses nicely. Whereas the other approach only reduces exhaust back-pressure.

Cheer,
Shiv

Hah. Just posted that. Yeah I like what the header does. I'm still in for the header. Looks like a general 5%-10% increase in performance.

could you list the specifics on the second dyno you posted? I mean the different setups between the red and the green? I thought that the blue from shiv's was the TQ300 with header and your red/blue is at or above his peak numbers, so are you running the 300 or e85?.. or am I just lost

Very cool, thanks for posting this Shiv, this answers some questions that I and several other people had

I'm actually pretty surprised at the results (though as you pointed out, these aren't direct comparisons done at the same time, grain of salt) - I think many of us were expecting larger results in the mid range (common with headers) and smaller results up top (ESC flow being a limiting factor because we're driving the motor at the same rate thru the rpm range).

I guess in this case, the headers just make it easier for the ESC to flow on the top end - it would be interesting to compare boost from 6000-7500 rpm between an OFH and non OFH setup.

To me this is great news though - some evidence that a good exhaust setup (good header and catback) + Phantom ESC + E85 + some good tuning could actually get us past the 225 whp mark (with a killer torque curve to boot). A great kit for the street. Kudos to Shiv on the OFH, consistently showing gains in a variety of setups, real bang for the buck.
