eh... I have never been a fan of Scion's pure pricing, it is just a way to ensure you pay more for the car. The idea was pioneered by Saturn, and while good for the dealers, it is bad for us the consumers. No matter the brand or the car, if you are paying MSRP, you are paying too much.

Eventually the demand for the BRZ will go down (it may take a year), and Subaru will be selling the BRZ like every other car below MSRP. When that happens the FRS will have to be priced significantly below the BRZ or they will stop selling.

new 2 door coupes are always hot the first year. Like fashion accessories they fall in value alot faster than sedans. They're just not practical and the market is small for them.

I'm thinking Subaru and Scion will probably be manufacturing these cars at slightly less than demand. Many will remember when the Honda Accord Hatchback came out in the early 80's and they couldn't make enough of them for several years. It will probably take several years to saturate demand.

It is very likely costs less to produce than the TC, and is for sure cheaper to produce than the WRX and Impressa. This car in all reality should be between 15-18k base, and in the low 20's loaded.
you clearly don't know much about the new car market. $15k really? You really think this car should sticker for $1000 more than a base neon from 2004?

a rwd drive chasis costs much more to produce than a fwd one. The only thing a tc has over this car is a sunroof. The engine, transmission, and suspension all cost more to produce than the tc. From the looks we've seen and the reviews, the interior components and fit/finish are all way above what I have seen in any other scion.

btw, you can't even get a ford focus or Chevy cruze loaded for low 20s.

So we will see what the US pricing is, but if the base FRS is over 23k, I will buy a WRX or Genesis coupe; After all the 2013 3.8l Track Gen coupe is 28k, and will easily sell for $1000-$1500 below MSRP.
Bro your 2013 Genesis coupe prices are bit off...its like this:

Sure you can probably get this car at or below invoice but it will still be more expensive than the BRZ limited...well maybe...and way more expensive than the FR-S's hopefully $23k with bespoke pricing....

Have your seen a tC and a FR-S side by side...sure the FR-S has some cheap parts, but hey those are still pre-production units we have all been seeing...Remember the FR-s and BRZ and Toyota 86 are all the same car. And it definitely cost more to make them then the tC.
