What I'd like to see is unbiased back to back dynos of the ESC with and without the OFH.

Well here's the thing. No matter what the header is going to be better because its going to smooth out the curve. So is the more top end and better drivability worth it for you?

I'll be going with the open flash header. I'll be honest and give an unbiased review. But honestly I spent around 700 bucks for an exhaust that did little for performance. I think 500 for better drivability is definitely worth it.

That's cool - It'll probably make a difference, but I'm not sure if any of us yet can quantify "better drivability", with a comparison to back it up. The torque curve on your car sans header looks pretty full to me! As far as I know only Shiv has driven the ESC/header combo, and those dynos were with the larger compressor. I'll be interested to hear your review for sure, but I'm always a skeptic until the real numbers surface.

Due respect to Shiv and what he's brought to us (I have an OFT), but he is also in the business of selling headers

Honestly I completely understand what you are saying but take a look at jpit's dyno on the first post or shiv's with the tq 300. There's definitely some gains to be had and the torque/hp dip is completely erased instead of shrunk/ translated to a higher rpm. (Check my dyno for the very very minor dip)

But I am assuming the difference will be minor. I hope it's not, but I guess time will show.

I will be happy to re-test with the TQ250. I expect that to go back in our FRS next week along with the dual dump packs.

Would be fun to compare the tq 250 with and without the header upgrade. I know we have plans to do that test on my car eventually, but earlier results are always fun to see. Shiv I know you modified the tune but do you feel a difference between what you felt in my car and what you are driving now?

Isn't Shiv testing the tq 250 with and without headers?

So I was wondering would the Esc tuned with the oft for e85 be too much if paired with an upgraded final drive?

You are probably planning on this anyway, but how about testing in a sequence something like this?
1) base phantom kit, nothing added.
2) add a tune.
3) add the extra dump packs
4) add your header.

If you look at the sequence, it is the order of gain for installation trouble. The first three are easy so are very likely to be done in your driveway. The last could be but is more trouble. No other power mods.
