That being said, there's always a chance you aren't trolling and found a high paying job, whilst being in high school.

Well I'm 17, but I make 12.50 an hour and because I have early release at school I work 6 hours a day

Reread my post. You don't need to justify yourself, not to me anyway.

In order to have gotten the car on your own at 16, you either saved up enough money from 14-16, assuming you've started working that young, to buy the car cash (bad financial move btw), or you got your non-existing credit approved without a co-signer.

Both doubtful in my eyes.
And again, if you aren't trolling, more power to ya.

This thread is a perfect example of why most young people have credit card debt.

I'm 16 and "own" a manual whiteout FR-S. I think I'm one of the youngest on this forum as well. At this age I don't see how OP had the ability to obtain such a well paying job, unless he had some serious connections.

My first car at 16 was a '94 Civic coupe with 123k miles, then an 08 Kia Spectra5, paid that off and sold it. Worked from 16-21 at CVS to pay for all that. Now I do architectural photography, put $10,750 down for this car. All paid for by myself. Living at home still though, paying a little rent to help out. Moving out in Socal is nearly impossible right now

I was 14 when I bought my first vehicle, a 1937 Chevrolet Pickup. I paid $75 cash, which equated to 75 hours of hard labor in hay fields.

No insurance cost, cause it wasn't insured. I traded slave labor on my father's farm for gas, from the tractor gas tank.

Oh ..... I digressed again .....

Ouch on the insurance. Did you put down around half as a down payment? That's a pretty low monthly payment on one of these cars.

As for me, I'm 24 and will be buying a WRB BRZ around June or July.
