1 year, and 3 months of ownership, not a single major issue. Just the regular chirps like everyone else and I am modded. Have fun with your car. If you sit and worry about it all the time, you aren't having fun.
I have a 240sx that I thrash :P

I slapped an AVO turbo kit on my car at about 12,000 miles. Shortly thereafter I started getting a bunch of CELs (P000B, P0014, P0017, etc). I couldn't take my car back to the dealer for the ECU firmware update due to the ECUTek tune, but the cam slow to respond CEL was too critical to overlook. Many dealers turned me away for obvious reasons, so I resorted to putting the car completely back to stock and had ALL applicable recall work performed. Turns out it didn't fix the cam issue, which the dealer finally figured out to replace the oil pressure valve on one bank. Now I'm driving the car bone stock for 3,000 miles before I put it all back on.

My advice to everyone who wants to mod but are afraid of this very thing that I had to deal with: get EVERYTHING done in terms of recall work before you start going crazy. Beyond that just keep your stock stuff in the event you need to do what I did.

I'm amazed at how everyone feels the need to modify this car even before they know what's its capable of. Even before it's broken it, people are complaining about shift feel, odd noises and lack of power, etc..
Instead of experiencing what it can do by putting some miles on it and letting everything "loosen up" and settle in, and getting a feel for the car and what it can really do...
You might find out the car needs nothing.. And is fine the way it is..
Warranty intact, more money in your pocket = peace of mind, less headaches and more fun down the road..
Nothing wrong with modding.. But until you know what you have, or before you grow tired of it... Why not enjoy it and come up with a real plan...

I just can't trust anyone who uses the term "modding."

The only problem I have had with mine is the condensation issue with the tail lights. I am now on my third pair... just got them replaced before the warranty expired. I am tired of having them do the whole step by step process to eventually just replace them, but my dealer was decent about it. Now if it happens again I'm just buying a set of aftermarket tails. Other than that I haven't had any issues.... (knock on wood)... warranty free now and looking at getting a turbo kit installed this summer. Almost have 25,000 miles on her now.
