I guess they had trouble supplying all the parts for the car now it's finally coming together. But I can already see the weight going up, better buy one quick before they get to fat. Arm rest, Dual HVAC, knee pads, LED DRL Xenon headlights, spoiler, keyless entry & start, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, Ect. Wonder how much the Monogram weighs compared to the original...

My dealership said they were having trouble with a supplyer about an element involving the heater in the seats. They want to fix it now instead of recalling it later. I can't tell you it's true but thats what my Scion guy said. Should be here around the end of the month he says.
Realistically, just as much as a BRZ Limited. Relax.

Agreed, it's not like it's any different from the original gt86.

Looking at the weights listed on for the FR-S vs. the Australian GTS the weight difference is 25 lbs. But remember, that the GTS comes with foglights.

No? So they must have only came in 2014 models? But they do have the upgraded head unit yes?

Not bad so far.
But I can see the weight steadily rising since launch, and it will only continue with the power bump. It's hard not to get sucked in to it because everyone is telling them it needs more power. Alwell, brace yourselfs for power, weight, and prices.

At least I got one thing right. Regardless, I am glad we are getting the Monograms. All the non SE guys are going to freak over the headlights haha. I'm probably going to get a few offers at the track meets for them.

Just got word that my ultramarine 6MT Monogram is on the boat and headed this way. Looks like I might receive it by the end of the month.

Well, they might have, but then Winjet came along and produced replica headlights.

Enjoy it while it lasts. The 2015 owners will probably be rubbing their bigger engines in our faces.

They didn't bother putting in power or ehaust because people were going to mess with those areas even if they did put it in. So they cut their cost and let the owner do it. And the chief engineer said the Manual could take more power so that+mods = Get the stick shift obviously.

Which a lot of people seem to be doing because they stopped the automatic option in the BRZ premium.
Actually, what you should've gotten from that post is that your newly found elitism about driving a stick is not only a bit premature because you're brand spanking new to it, but that it's also immature because only insecure tools brag about how "cool" they are because they have the "purest" aka barebones/cheapest version of a doohickey.

Why would anyone want leather seats? Why would anyone want heated mirrors? Why would anyone want fogs?<insert eyeroll> The answer is: who cares

Why would anyone offer you money for factory headlights?

Unfortunately your right, but I guess that's how it works. Always something new coming out.

Elitism maybe, but that appears to be the purpose of this car is it not? Why would one buy this car over a Mustang?
Comfort? Certainly not.
Power? Hardly.
Looks? Nope.
Value? I think otherwise.
Patriotism? Not a chance.
Even fuel economy is better in the mustang.

To me, the only conceivable reason for buying these cars is the purist ideology. On paper this car is murdered by everything, in performance and as a daily driver. The purity of the drive is the only take away of this car, and the only on I need. So for me the manual is the obvious choice. Of course this is all in my own opinion and we likely will have to agree to disagree in the end.

But that is how I think of the matter. I am sorry if you do not like it.
