Possible date for revealing of price and release date

I just drove the 33 miles to the nearest Scion dealership and I talked to a salesman.

This salesman was not like the others that are talked about on this forum, he really knew everything that we know about the FR-S and BRZ, plus a couple things that have not been mentioned here yet, and he happened to share it with me.

We were talking about the car for a little while, then I popped the release date question on him. His answer was that Scion will reveal the release date in 30 days.

I then popped the pricing question on him, where he told me that pricing will also be revealed in 30 days.

He had complete confidence in what he was saying. I could tell it was something that was told to him from a higher power, so I believe what he told me.

Edit: He also said it will be the same for the Subaru BRZ

Thanks for the update CSSM I hope it's true so that everyone would be happy. It's pretty close to April too now that I think about it.

Doubt they would reveal NA pricing at a European show. But weirder things have happened. :iono:

I heard from a Scion Dealer. June 1 is the US release date and during the NY auto show the price will be revealed

NYIAS makes a lot of sense for pricing info. Shortly before the release and at major show for the press coverage. Detroit was too far out for pricing info.

while i hope this is true, there needs to be an emote for taking things with a grain of salt

I think NY would be too late, right? That is 2 months away, and only about a month before it goes on sale. The salesman wouldnt be so confident about his 1 month number if the info will really be released in 2

I have been in contact with a local subaru dealer for the past couple weeks and just today I was told he has been pressing his manager and corporate office and told me that they will be able to start taking orders for customers and those that work at the dealers on Feb 27th. Not sure how true it is but something to look forward to. According to the dealer it should take anywhere between 6 to 12 weeks for the orders to be finished. He is going to be getting back to me soon as he finds out more information from his higher ups.

Did you ask him about that specific date, or did he offer it up? Because orbital recently posted the same info...

So pricing would need to be nailed down prior to orders opening up on Subaru system? Or will you be ordering without knowing the price?
