Fun cars for under 10k...
Depends on what is fun for you... Straight-line speed... *Ford Mustang GT *Chevrolet Camaro Handling... *Miata *MR2 *Maybe an S2000...but one under 10k can very well have lotsa Gremlins If you just wanna Hoon around in something fun... *S10 *Nissan Hardbody truck... essentially any compact truck can be a BLAST to get sideways and stuff...plus they are cheap to buy and insure If you know mechanically inclined people... *Second generation RX-7... |

Now who ever made up the list with S2000 at number 1, for sure Midget Mode there. That list is open to interpretation. |

I'm telling y'all Ford owners were putting Turbos on their 5.0s to keep them competitive down the quarter mile against the Buicks that were only 3.8L. The Untouched Grandnationals tend to go for much more, but if its been raced up they tend to be cheaper. Sadly they are starting to turn into collector cars due to their age and the people who know exactly what these cars are all about. I'm just trying to highlight a car that some of us may never have had on their radar. Many of us here are too young to even know what the Buick is just based on Bow Tye and Ford Biases. the s/c aw11 is not as good at being a sports car as the n/a versions. they came late in the life cycle so they are heavy. plus they are geared much longer so the speeds arent that far off but youre stuck with the couple extra hundred pounds. personally i would rather have the spyder over the other gens as they are the closest to the conventional sports car definition. |

As for the car, I'd second the earlier E36 M3. Just buy a good one. Here's a link to a pic of mine: http://www.itrexpo.com/users/dave/m3/IMG_3857.jpg Great DD. I never drive the BRZ anymore. It's kinda pointless to own for me now so I'm seriously considering selling it

They are just hard to find...period. Especially unmolested and under 10k. Its like the Syclones and Typhoons. Awesome trucks...just hard to find because they are legitimately rare. |
