I had a set of these on my RSX and the quality was a little disappointing. The plastic lenses cracked probably under less than 6 months after install. Seemed to be a common problem that occurred when running the foglights in colder temps during wet/humid conditions, rather than cracking from rocks or debris. The button itself was incredibly cheap, and led many people into just wiring it up to activate when the parking lights were on.

Given that these are glass, hopefully the quality has improved. Non-OEM is always a risk with these types of products, usually winds up costing more through replacements in the long run.

Spyder Fog Lights

The FRS Spyder fog lights are new and should not be compared to the RSX version.

My point was that if a company has made crap products in the past, they might make crap products in the future.

FT86SF is awesome, and I don't want to derail the thread and cost them sales, so I'll just stop with that. I was just sharing my previous experience with Spyder on another platform, which I thought bears some relevance. These will sell like hotcakes regardless.

These appear to be glass lenses. They learned from their mistakes? I'm going to pick up a pair of the yellow ones.

Are those bezels the same size as OEM gt86's?
Which means I can upgrade to some carbon fiber bezels later.

Well I gave you a thanks for sharing the criticisms. Folks shouldn't be afraid to voice their opinions. I hope these products are of good and reliable quality (I'm certainly interested in the yellows too), but at least now I'm forewarned about the potential acceptance level of subpar equipment this brand/company is willing to sell.

I am planning on getting the yellow kit. Here is the Toyota USDM fog light install. Looks similar to the Spyder kit.

Does the fog light indicator light on the instrument panel work with this kit? I like the overall OEM look this kit has.
