Unless you go kenwood then you don't really need a harness kit

Careful, I bought a DNN990HD for my suburban, had lots of cool features but took a good 30 seconds to boot up. slow. gets very annoying if you're in and out of the car on errands

Yep, that's why I referred to it as "the" kenwood not "a". I was assuming he was talking about the DDX630WBT

Good afternoon tuners!

I found interesting topics while i was surfing.

What engine oil do you guys use now?

Toyota oem is the best or aftermarket synthetic oils?

Recommended 0w-20 but 5w-30 will do for summer season according to some threads

I think 5w-30 will be the right choice in the phils. What do you guys think?

And people suffer from shifting 2nd gear when engine is still cold so they recommend to change oem gear oil to motul 300 75w-90.

Anyone who uses aftermarket oils and thoughts??

I want to stick to what manual says but many subaru users say that thicker oil is better for boxer engine.

I will wait for your opinions

Have a nice day guys.

The Toyota oil the dealers use for the 86 is mineral oil, it's up to you if you want to use that or go fully sythetic. For those of us who track our cars, we use 5w30

Motul Gear 300 75w90 will not make the transmissin shift to second easier when cold but I would still recommend changing it out ASAP because of the metal shavings that come about during break-in. Use GL3/GL4 for the tranny, GL5 for the diff

Hi to ALL my fellow lucky owners of 86- Brz,
I'm new in here and hoping someone can help me.
I have a problem with my interior dashboard it looks like fading ( namumuti ). Reading the manual it says you just have to wipe it with clean cloth dump in a lukewarm water. I have tried it any nothing special happen. Toyota said i should use armorall but i doubt it that's the right product to use because our dashboard is different like matte but maybe i'm wrong. Anyone have same experienced or tested solution?
Thanks guys!

-Sports Car- To others it's just a toy and collection, for some it's a dream come true.
