Wow that looks great! Thanks for the pictures, this should be helpful for people wanting to do this mod in the future.

Thanks,

so i followed what you did, except i said fuck it for the turn signals and blacked the entire thing out. i'm going to get super bright LEDs for there, since there's no reflecting capabilities anymore lol.

looks so sick on a whiteout. i want to do this but if the aftermarket comes out with a complete headlight assembly similar to 86 or BRZ i might just forego this mod.

Old thread, but I was looking for the DIY on doing the turn signals. Could only find one on the headlights.

Anyone?

Depends on the coating. A lot of the smoked reflectors still shine orange when the car is on. Altho it probably doesnt reflect very well when painted.

I didnt live in a state that had inspections like that. The most WI does is OBDII plug in.

Plus I hated the orange reflectors. On black it stuck out so bad. And I didnt want to pay 70 bucks for side markers. So i painted them black to match my body color and pulled the bulbs. Gave it a nice clean look.

Reflector is not orange, the bulb is.

As an alternative or in addition too.. you can install LED turns that will get rid of the orange color in the housing but still be bright amber when the parking or turn signal is on.
