Aaron has done a great job on the turbo kit and he is always more than willing to answer questions about his kit.

I was wondering how these guys were coming along. I heard about them when I first moved back up to Dallas when they first started working on their FR-S but I haven't heard anything other then, they aren't going to develop for the FR-S. So I didn't pay them much attention.

Anyone had any work done with them Force induction wise? Other then the owner that is

I actually spoke to Aaron yesterday. They've been really busy with MR2's lately and haven't found the time. I'm sure he will get on it when he has more time and more interested parties.

Aaron the owner of ATS Racing in Denton has experience tuning his Turbo FRS. I know that he has done over 200 tunes on his FRS. He is at ~360 WHP on E85 currently. Send them an email if you have any questions. They don't tend to answer the phone.

To bring this up from the dead (sorry):

Do we have experience with turbos and superchargers that we didn't install or make?
Yes. We have tuned a handful of both. We have installed (and tuned) a Vortech kit. We have troubleshooted (troubleshot??) and corrected various setups, as well as did the tuning.

Do we install whatever vendor's turbo/supercharger kit (or any other product for that matter)?
Absolutely!

Do we make/sell our own turbo setup?
Yes! BUT, we won't/can't do anything less than a COMPLETE setup. Turbo, fuel pump, injectors, our clutch, labor, tuned. We hand build the manifold from scratch, to the car. So yes, that means we will not mail order a kit. We've discussed it, but as of now it's an "eh" thing.

Do we answer the phone?
Yes. And also no. We are a total of 4 people at the shop. Two of us work around school schedules (our own or our children's ). We are all in the shop, so unfortunately calls go unanswered more than we'd like. Emails are answered within an hour usually. Or stop by, we usually like visits.

If all goes right, I will be buying the shop FRS in a few weeks (hence signing up here). Maybe the wife will allow me out once or twice before the baby comes (Christmas Eve).
I hope this doesn't come off as a commercial post?

Cool. I saw there's a forum rule about it, so I tried to leave out as many details as possible while answering some of the questions/comments I've seen about us.

Nice! Stock block? I ask because that's the power level we built Aaron's car for, but a trusted shop gave us info we later found out was completely wrong, so we left his at the conservative 360rwhp it is now. I was going to turn it up to 400 once it's mine, but the originally planned 450 is awfully tempting..

And excellent job BTW!

Yes it's on a stock block for now. I'll have the internals in by next summer but with a motec and some work done to the head for better flow. I don't normally use this map, but this is the highest setting, so you can have an idea of what the lower maps might push. I had to sit in the trunk on map 3 and 4 to gain traction. On Map 4 the car was still losing traction with me in the trunk

Map 1 8.5psi 297whp
Map 2 11psi 352whp
Map 3 14.5psi 427whp
Map 4 17.5psi ~452whp

Thanks for the info. We run 11psi on Aaron's car, so that's right in line. Good to know.

Next time you have traction issues on the dyno, get the shop to get some VHT. Or bring your own. We used to mess with extra straps, tightening them all till things are about to bend, and people in the trunk, but then we were told about VHT by some friends of mine. Held Aaron's 820rwhp with no slip, and even 330rwhp on very bald 215/40/17 all season tires (and terrible ones when brand new, let alone bald). I know it doesn't do you much good now, but if you're going back for a retune with your built motor, it might be something to consider.
