No fuel starvation issues whatsoever with the DW65 at those power levels at all? No concern on running it past half a tank? Target AFR holds all the way to redline?

Whats interesting about it? Where does it say that because a turbo hit max boost it needs to make max TQ at that same rpm? Where did it say that max boost was where you ASSUME it is? Tuning strategy will play a huge roll in how the power is delivered.. That will also play a roll in longevity of the motor. I dont like windows in the block RPM is off on the graph it seems, as the rev limiter is set to 7800 on this car and all P&L turbo kit cars I tune. |

That is a small turbo making about 100ftlbs less then the posted car. You can manipulate TQ curves with boost delivery and timing. If the posted car was only making 250ftlbs I would have easily let it make TQ lower. For the safety of the rods on a car running 18psi I dont just let it hit hard down low... also for traction you dont want a huge hit of tq/power all down low.

Yep, i don't hit the motor with 18psi as soon as I can. It is slowly introduced to lesson wheel spin, or at least create spin with acceleration and not just utter tire destruction lol As for the RPM, its off about 300-400rpm it would seem. One other thing I want everyone to understand is that the shop is NEW to the dyno, and little things like rpm scale, smoothing etc is still being figured out. With that said we have a few guys that will hit the track though, and it will verify the numbers for us. Im a big believer in actual performance not dyno numbers. Jr |
