Nice man, I'm also currently building a MK1 race car, Scirocco to be exact :respect:

Currently awaiting the final wiring wrap up and what not (16v swap with VW Motorsport CIS basic and a knock sensing ignition from a later GTI)

I am getting back to work on mine here soon. just really need to do the body work now. I would have loved a mk1 scirocco.
