Correct, OFT could be tuned by Shiv with aftermarket FI.

I haven't followed OFT much, so I'm not sure if it's been done, but in theory, it should be perfectly doable.

I count 16 horizontal rows on the intercooler. Here's Greddy's shot with the bumper reinforcement attached:



Now only 8 rows are visible. That does not even include the bumper cover. You'll maybe have 6 or 7 rows getting active airflow with the stock bumper cover.

See the blue pieces here? These are the structural pieces to distribute load in a frontal crash.



The "bumper reinforcement" is the structural piece that connects the driver's side rails to the passenger's side rails. It needs to be strong so that it can distribute the energy of a crash across both structural rails of your car. When the "bumper reinforcement" front beam fails, the energy goes into your power train instead and your girlfriend winds up with an engine in her lap.

When you gouge the bumper reinforcement to make room for this intercooler, you are turning a structural C-Beam into a thin piece of steel and destroying your car's ability to distribute frontal crash loads.

It doesn't matter how good of a driver you are if an SUV takes a blind turn right in front of you. AMHIK.

Cut that beam at your own risk. Yes that applies to FA20Club kits too.

Some people are willing to take the risk that they'll never be involved in a frontal collision, and that's fine for an individual to understand the risk and accept the risk. What's not fine is a lack of awareness of the risks you are accepting by chopping up the front bumper reinforcement.

Don't dish unless you know. We have hit 223 hp at 6500 rpm with 202 tq at 3200 rpm on e85 and a catback exhaust system. And thats with the lower end setup. Im sure we will hit 250 eventually. Shiv will probably be posting numbers eventually with the oft header and phantom esc. And I know Im only out $2200 for the FI setup (not including exhaust) $2900 with the exhaust.

I'm not saying its going to compete with 8-12 psi system thats ridiculous to say. But bang for your buck? I think its worth it. But I hate it when people quote comments about the system without really seeing what it does.

And hell yes Ill take a ride with you. I love all cars, and all tech. I'm not judgmental.

You can get a tuned Kraftwerks SC kit for $5,000 or less, depending on the vendor. You CAN make $5k go a long way. The amount of "I think I know what I'm talking about" in this thread is laughable.

As for "installation costs", some of these kits are so ridiculously easy to install that if you can connect a socket to a ratchet you've done half the battle.

This is the full throttle only S/C we're talking about, yes? The last thing in the world I am interested in is a 50% discontinuity in torque when the accel pedal travels its last 1/16th inch.
