P.s. I've offered to pay the first year of a vanity plate that says "The Car" since it is probably the most famous/infamous twin on our forum, much like famous plays and games are named re: the drive, the band, etc.
So the car's name is Irene, huh. (sherlock holmes reference)

Edit: fixed

Speaking from experience, I'd wear your helmet 100% of the time. Both times I went down it happened so fast and I never saw it coming. Last time I hit sand in a turn at 50 or so, highsided like a Mofo. Helmet saved my moneymaker fo sho. If I'd been wearing ALL my riding gear I wouldn't have broken all the bones either. It's been a year and I'm still recovering.

Went down at Laguna Seca this past weekend. I get not feeling like wearing your helmet sometimes, especially on hot days. I knew that it one day would save my life so I bought a badass helmet that I'd always want to wear haha. Donkey!

12 months ago I re learned to walk. All it takes is one teenager texting and a pickup truck swerving around them and slamming knot you at 65 mph to change your life. Wear your fucking helmet. The chance of me surviving was very slim without my helmet.

Hot days? No excuses! And I know you are just generalizing the concept. But the pavement is over 150f in Phoenix in the summer and I wear as much as possible. This year I will be buying a chest plate and arm guards for deep summer riding as it's too hit at stop lights for a jacket. I typically used to bring a spare set of clothing to work. Looking back I don't know why. I guess I just loved riding that much?

i've been riding motorcycles since before i could ride a bicycle (my first bike was a jr50 with training wheels), and have logged more track time than most. i'm pretty damn good at it, and i won't go outside without a helmet on. it's pretty damn moronic, considering that you have very, very little control over what's going on around you out there.

you'd rather be hot than dead, trust me. i've lost more riding buddies than i'd like to remember. most of them weren't wearing a helmet at the time, and only one of them were 'at fault'. shit happens, and it ain't worth it. gotta give yourself every chance you can.

that said, i'll ride until the day i die. just gotta get one of those new panigales, and a matching helmet of course
