That sounds pretty damn cozy. The Backseat Rest Zone.

Yes... excuse my terrible paint not-to-scale drawing for those who are interested.

Road trip camping might be kinda doable if you can fit, might not work if you're too tall or have big feet, not sure how long the trunk area would be once you extend it like this.

You're missing the drawing of a "significant other". After all sports cars are not only meant for being sporty.... if you know what I mean

I fell asleep for about an hour in it. It was actually more comfortable than I thought it would be.

I have laid down in mine in the back with my feet towards the front several times to work on wiring etc...not a whole lot of room to roll around that way, but my feet were right between the seats at 6'1" tall. As you are shorter, if you folded the rear seats down, and laid down with feet at the trunk, you would end up perfectly fitting with the front seats laying forward as the guy with terrible paint skills has it. Although, you would probably be fine to just lay flat with gear on either side or one side of you with your pillow/head pretty much between the seats (kinda).

OMG that is absolutely brilliant. I may have to try this at least once when I finally get my BRZ

At one point I had to think of doing that, not because of money issues but more of relationship issues. Good thing I got a place on time before having to do that. I tested it out and it barely fit me comfortably, I'm about 5'8" and there wouldn't have been room to roll around that's for sure. It's barely doable, one thing if you're planning to fold the back seats down... get a cushion or some sort of camping bed liner because the back of the back seats are very uncomfortable.

I did at the track for three days. Back seats folded, fronts folded forward, single air mattress down the centre and my feet in the trunk. Actually was pretty comfortable
