Thanks torq!
I was hoping it wouldn't get trucked all the way across the country.

Raven 6MT (Is there really any other way?)

Does anyone know how (what route) they are shipped to the SE?
How were you able to get one on order when the SE hasn't been allocated any yet?

@wulfstan great choice in parts btw, I'm going the same route. I'm a little torn on the trd front lip though, I wish there was a way around removing that license plate holder

My dream after already having an AE86, is to remain true to Toyota... "OLAF", will be TRD dressed as much as possible... Big investment but this is my first true new car purchase and I'm doing it as factory as possible... Yeah the plate is slightly bothersome but I do have a plan... All parts ordered courtesy of Nigel-JDMParts... Should be here prior to vehicle arrival, so I'll get the install done before taking him home... Ordered and will install, TRD intake as well, thinking of OEM+400 for the sounds...

What does OLAF stand for, acronym or just a name?

OLAF is just a name... the snowman from the Disney Movie Frozen. My son came up with it, because he loved the guy... fun loving, joking, smiling, versatile, kinda fit for me... So the name stuck, since I didn't want "Frosty, Lightning, Silver..." Since eventually, my son will drive it, I guess I'm just a pushover...

Thanks for asking, though... I've started a journal page, The saga of OLAF,

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56168

I will record the changes as I go...

I called my local dealer on the night of the 13th and they didn't know anything about it but took my word it was true. She explained how new models or limited editions are allocated and that they usually don't even know what color or trans will show up. She said I was the first to inquire about it and offered to take a deposit right then to put me at the top of the wait list. I told her it had to be Raven 6MT or I didn't want it. She said she would get the sales manager to call me the next day about ordering one. They must have done some research because he called me right when she said he would and said he had all the pre-order paperwork ready and asked when I could come by. I went there after work and everything was correct (I checked the model number to be sure it was 6255). I signed the papers, gave my deposit then made them write in BIG letters all over all the paperwork....DO NOT WASH!!! DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO THIS CAR!!! I told them when it gets there to just roll it off the truck and park it out of the way and don't touch it. I sure hope this happens. I already have plans for the paint and I don't want them to increase my work!
I haven't heard from them but they probably haven't heard anything either so I just continue to patiently wait.
So is it really ordered? I don't know but I have to trust what they have told me until they show me otherwise. If the deal falls through I will get my deposit back and go next door and order a BRZ limited.

Really wish the monogram was coming later in the year, not looking to purchase until around late June - July, and the monogram is exactly what I'd love to have

Probably another special edition will come out by that time because Scion likes to screw people over and over again. Look what happen to 10th series FRS.

Seeing your dedication and your previous cars, it's kind of a damn shame they're making you settle for a Scion...

I just got down putting a deposit on my monogram.

Firestorm with a manual transmission and foglights.

Honestly I don't care if more models come out, I was fine with the cars power from the beginning, I just always wanted the looks of the scion with the interior bits from the brz limited. Now I can finally have the car I've wanted for years with no compromise.
