PrimeMotoring/Jr Tuned BRZ w/FA20club UEL Turbo Kit 303whp & 228wtq on Pump

This is user @Ny Brz car he brought in for us to install and tune his FA20club Turbo Kit featuring Garrett 57 Trim turbo and UEL header. Car has two settings making 265whp & 207wtq on a low boost setting (6-7psi) and 328whp and 247wtq on a high boost setting (11-12 psi).

Im sure Ny Brz will be able to chime in with his thoughts and some videos as well so you can all hear what the UEL headers sound like.

Here is a Mod List of what we put together:

FA20 Club Turbo Kit (57trim)
Unequal Length Manifold
FA20 Club overpipe
FA20 Club EBCS
Invidia Cattless front pipe
Tomei 80mm Single Exit Expreme Cat-Back
DW700cc injectors
DW65c Fuel Pump
Omni 3-bar Map
Perrin Crank Pully

Seems weird with such a small turbo that the torque is peaking just shy of 7000 RPM. Any boost plots?

You are hitting the restrictions of the kit.

Also updated the thread, made a mistake on numbers and sheets. The car actually made 328whp.

i'm interested to know what restriction you're talking about. it seems weird that the same dip exists at both boost levels if it's an airflow thing. not saying you're wrong, just wondering what you think it may be. this isn't the only one i've seen exhibit the same thing. seems to be a common issue flatlining or losing power above 7k.

What cars have you seen make more power north of 7000 RPM would be a better question. I think it is just a limitation of the head and the cams. My car peaked at around 7000 RPM in horsepower but the torque plateau started just after 4000 RPM all the way to 7000 RPM.

By restrictions I mean the design...the UEL headers are really a novelty for sound not for performance. We have tuned 10-15 other FA20club cars with EL headers and the same turbo and they do not do that.

Can I see a boost plot? Boost creep / boost loss would be my only guess as to the reason why then. I know with my GT2871R I would start loosing some boost pressure in the upper RPM range.

it's just really weird that you see the exact same thing at two very different boost levels... but like i said i've seen others with the same issue, mostly superchargers.
