Some jackass in a truck almost backed into me at a light on my way home from work
He started going before the light went green but I couldn't see the light so I just start going too... he slams on his brakes, as do I.. then proceeds to reverse :| Luckily this wouldn't have been the first time that has happened so I was on the horn before he hit me... Would've been a bad night :| But I got home and made some modifications to the car: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...80#post1472525

Has anyone done a tour with clubsportiva.com? I'm interested in getting myself and BF the exotic tour package. If so, how did you like it? And did anyone notice that they have an FRS for rental? Lol

My wife bought me an "exotics package" for my bday a few years ago. The group itself is very professional and very cool people (I think the owner also owns Lemans karting). Although it was pretty exciting sitting in a Ferrari/Lambo/Jaguar/etc. they do have a "chaperone" on the passenger seat at all times and have you drive in a "parade" configuration, following a lead car. I did get to do a few harder-than-usual pulls a few times, which was pretty fun, hearing all the commotion in the mid-engine and getting to pull on those paddle shifters, but again, that was left to the discretion of the chaperone. Overall, it was a fun "I can honestly say I drove a (insert exotic)" but that's about it. To be honest, I have more fun driving my own BRZ at a slower pace with half the power. |

Interesting points. Having a passenger like that could be a buzz kill and make you even more nervous about driving a car worth so much money.

depending on the price, you'll have more fun renting a car for the day. last year i had a gallardo LP560-4 for a day and took all the back roads i could from santa clara back to the oakland and beat the crap out of it too. only down side was the ac was broken and rental was limited to 100 mile range so i opted for pickup which was cheaper than adding miles.

Also, it's probably not as cheap as you're looking for, but try a Segway tour of SF.

SF Sketchfest is going on for the next few weeks in different locations, my wife and I are checking out Key & Peele this weekend. A drive along the coast is always a good cheap option, if you don't mind the weekend crowds. Also, off-the-grid is going on all over the bay, if you're into the food truck thing, I personally think they are over hyped/priced, but I have my favorites.
