What Mid-Pipe did you find that fit the SP elite?

Maybe you mean front pipe? As far as I know there is no mid-pipe that will fit the SP elite.

Meant front pipe. I doubt you'd really get much more from replacing the midpipe if anyone made one.

Currently running motivs frontpipe with my spelite.

pm the vendor in the "group buy" forum. i believe it is around $500-550 shipped depending on your location.

So I understand that the sp elite has no drone at cruise or idle, but can anyone comment on any noticeable drone when, for instance, going up a hill in 4th or when selecting Sport in autos? Also can any owners comment on the loudness of the axleback vs some distinguishable exhaust notes, say a 350/370z or a 335i or STi? Does the exhaust drown out the engine during acceleration? Thanks!

Should really just get a Nameless Axleback at that price. Much higher quality and a lot of customized options available for what you plan to do with your full exhaust.

I don't like axle-back that are too loud at low rpms and then mysteriously get quiet at high rpm.
Does this happen with this exhaust?

Found this, sounds scary close to stock unless 1) my speakers and or the mic recording it are not very good or 2) this is pre break-in. I want to believe this thing is louder in person even with stock everything else

I was thinking of getting the sp elite soon and getting a berk or perrin catted front pipe later down the road. I have no real plans of upgrading a lot of things on the car. I'd like to hear it when its WOT.

I carefully compared the quality, fitment, and sound of the SP elite and the Nameless 2.5" with 5" mufflers. I chose to go Nameless and have no regrets. Although it took 3 weeks to build and deliver it, I installed it in 20 minutes and took off down the road. No drone, not too loud, sounds like a Maserati.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Greddy SP Elite for $500 shipped. Before I do though I just want to double check everyones input since it's been a while.
Any other comments from those of you who have owned this already?
Did you end up getting rid of it or keeping it?
How satisfied are you still months after your purchase?

Not saying the Greddy Elite is bad, it just narrows the upgrade options if you want to go full cat back.
I'm confused, if all the aftermarket overpipes bolt on at stock locations (since most don't require some extra piping to join stock or aftermarket exhausts) how could this axelback possibly complicate his exhaust system?
Nameless kept the stock mid-pipe since they found no real gains to be had with their axelback.

The gaskets are pretty crappy mine went bad and so have a few others. Not a huge ordeal but if you spend the $3 on a new one before you install it you will not have to mess with it later.

Yes you could upgrade the Header, Overpipe, and Front Pipes, but the mid pipe would not be able to be changed from the stock one. So if you ever wanted more flow for boost or whatever other reason any axle back does limit your upgrade path to a point.

We've had a few unhappy Greddy Elite owners contact us a few months after getting the axle back upset they would not be able to order a mid pipe that works with the system. So just wanted to make sure people know this is all. You could possibly always have something made though by a local muffler shop.
