Ok, this is going to sound a bit over exaggerated. I have a question regarding the seats, seating position, etc..

I'm very ocd when it comes to my seating position and I can spend times trying to find my perfect seat setting after someone messes with it. It's inevitable that it will be moved again (wife drives occasionally, taking it to discount tire, basic servicing).

Now, with that being said I was looking for a solution to my problem Maybe there's a way to stabilize the seats to keep them from altering seating position. Any feedback is appreciated.

I'm like this as well. I've just learned to take mental notes of the seat position. How many pumps from the bottom for up and down, where the front of the seat cushion lines up with my center console, etc. I even have a measured distance for the telescopic steering wheel (for whatever reason the dealer always seems to move this).

Just remove the handles so no one can change the seat position.

I adjusted my seat back and made sure it was absolutely where I wanted it, then just put a screw through the seat-back handle locking it in place to the seat base. All plastic, didn't even have to drill a hole. Black screw head, you don't even see it.

Keeps knuckle-headed repair guys (or anybody else) from adjusting the angle of the seat. Just have to remember where the seat is in its front to back movement, but that's not as hard to maintain. Also did this with my celica 10 years ago and saved me a lot of grief.

OCD rules, right?!

Ocd sucks! Lol. I appreciate the advice everyone. I'm contemplating removing the handles.. @cfordart can you take a picture of what you did exactly? That idea seems fairly quick and easy but I'm trying to picture where you put the screw exactly.

Same I just extend my arms and can reference distance and angle by point of where my wrists lay in wheel.

same problem i freak out cuz i can't get comfortable. So where do you put the screw ? maybe some pics plz, being a visual learner sux tooo

You can also download apps for your phone that measure angles. Use that against your seatback to make sure you get the same angle as your ideal if someone move things. This doesn't help the slide or the vertical adjustment, but those are easy to readjust.

All I've got is a pic of the seats before I put in the screw. But I put a dot where the screw goes...and it screws in in the direction of the red arrow. It's just a short black sheet metal screw (pointy ended) so it would make it's own hole a pull itself thru the plastic handle and into the plastic base of the seat. Probably an inch long at the most. If you put it into the flat part of the handle underneath where your fingers grab the handle, then you probably won't even see it at all.

All you're doing is pinning the handle to the base of the seat so that the handle can't move...unless you take out the screw.

Everybody needs an extra screw every now and then, you know?

thanks thats pretty easy i thought i was going to have move the chair and like do all kind of crazy stuff haahah thanks

Easy "mod" and comes with an extremely high increase in WHP....

Thanks for the posting up the pic cfordart. You really just screw it in without drilling? Seems kind of thick, the plastic I mean.
