Installed my Tundra stalk today for my fog lights. Couldn't find a proper write up on how to do that so it took a little longer than expected. Main problem was that the clock spring for the airbag came completely unraveled when I removed the steering wheel. That was a booger to put back together. All wiring is run from the factor to get the electrical signals from A to B. Makes this a fairly easy mod once you get everything disassembled.

Tundra stalk

Nothing on

Headlights only

Headlights and fogs

Turn on high beams and fog lights turn off

Both blinkers and hazards work as they should

Thank you. More DIY got done today.

Had to bang out the old carrier bushings. Used a hammer and an aluminum rod. Took some time but they eventually came out.

Then my brother, @Rue, machined the bottom portion of the bushings for me.

Finished product leaning up against the material for the top portion of the bushings.

They fit PERFECTLY. I wanted them to fit snugly in place without much force but also hold in place without falling out.

With the sleeves.

And the bolts.

Also got the backlash set on the differential.

We were able to get the last measurement needed for the upper portion of the bushing. Hopefully that and the rear end will be finished this weekend.

One bushing down, one to go.

And might be nit picking but I wasn't happy with how skinny the factory throttle pedal is. Makes heel/toe a little difficult. So a new pedal was in order. And by new I mean used. Wanted to see if it would work first. Will probably order a new one now that I see it will.

Carrier installed with new Tomei 2 way clutch type differential, 4.55 ring and pinion, and aluminum carrier bushings.

Getting sideways on the backroads near you!!

Anyone wanting to attempt this themselves, I have made a DIY. It is as detailed as I could make it.

Installed fog lights last night. I can't believe how easy they went in. Everything with the exception of 1 wire in the little subharness is already there from the factory. I'll post some pics after work today.

Added the 1 wire missing from the sub harness.

Then spliced into the factory ground wire.

Soldered and heat shirnked.

Terrible f*cking picture I know, but whatever.

Thanks, I try to do nice sh*t to my car. Only thing I regret so far is buying the springs. I did it mainly for looks for a car meet I was going to. Should of spent the money else where. Next thing on the list will be a supercharger. After that I'll be purchasing a nice set of coilovers.

My brother had a Cusco spin turn knob just laying around. Put it on just because.
