Even Chevrolet ripped off the BRZ's parking lights among other styling cues from the BRZ.

Best answer is to take a notebook and go to both subie and Toyota dealers and ask to see the cars in person and what they offer in different trims, limited versions and compare what you like are don't like.Best bet is to go with Toyota because the service with Subaru you get is like shit.Plus how many subie dealers can you find when shit hits the fan.

To tell the truth, eventhough I hugely prefer 86/FRS in Firestorm Red like I replyed on page 2, I believe BRZ will age better cuz it's front is more simple. BUT I'm talking about like 10 years + down the line. >__>

Ps: Just saw this review on our forum, I think it will help. Lol

I think the whole service deal really depends on your area. Where I live, our local Toyota dealer is totally crap, from sales to service. Does that mean every single person working there is terrible? No, but I wouldn't bring my car in for service at my local Toyota/Scion. I'd rather drive 45 minutes to the dealership where I actually bought my FR-S.

The local Subaru on the other hand I've heard a lot more good things about. So YMMV

I guess It's easier to get it if u have lots buddy from subaru side of family. Like me, almost 80% of my friends are loyal subaru drivers. And it's true for most ppl, I mean where can u find loyal scion customers? Lol ya right.

But All in all, this is a review with very sarcastic voices u actually hear from both side of the crowd that's going after the twin. And it's very honest in it's own way.

*oh, except the shexxxx xxxx part but give the guy a break. He is just having fun.

I choose the monogram and here are my reasons why.

#1 I like the front end better, larger opening, less plastic, and the headlights are sick! JDM GT-86 whoot
#2 I like the interior better also, It has a darker metallic chrome theme compared to the BRZ mirror chrome. I like a darker interior that doesn't have light reflections bouncing off everything on the inside a night. Bit of a nit pick but I'll be living with this car along time. And finally the fake carbon fiber treatment is pretty cool (I'm 17 lol) Oh, and the iconic White Face Tachometer compared to Black with orange backlights on the BRZ blahh.
#3 86 Emblem's on the fenders. So you can tell people cool storys about the AE86 when they ask what it is. Only on FR-S

IMO the Monogram looks better inside and out, but a WRB Subaru is pretty legit. You can't lose.

Monogram Unique Features Compared to BRZ Limited - Rear Center Armrest, Red-stitched leather kneepads*, Frameless rear-view mirror.

Other Monogram things to consider - Not so nice spoiler, cooler seats with T engraved in Alcantara, Fog lights are option

----------

BRZ Unique Features Compared to Monogram - Illuminated Vanity Mirrors*, Trunk liner, Red-stitched E-brake & boot, foglights standard

Other BRZ things to consider - Better spoiler, auto-dimming rear-view with compass (+Homelink garage door opener) optional.

*As far as I know this feature does not come on the other

Red looks faded in pictures but not in real life.

Honestly, the red looked "faded" to me too. Then I gave my car a claybar and re waxed it with a good quality Caranuba wax. My buddy came over a few hours after and as we were getting in the car to go grab some food he asked me what i did to the car because he noticed the paint right away. (And no, I didnt tell him ahead of time that I did anything to the car)

If you are really that concerned about color just go look at it in person. You are aware that Lightning Red(BRZ) and Firestorm Red(FRS) are both C7P and therefore the EXACT same color, correct?
