I baked them and used a heat gun. Had no issues with LED. However, they do not use same type of sealant as OEM. They use a rubber gasket and what looks to be a very thin bead of silicon caulk. I was surprised. Could be why some people have moisture problems. Not sure you even need to heat them up to open. I sealed back up with OEM type OCI Burly rubber.

Figured I'd share a pic of mine.
Have never posted a pic on here so I apologize if it doesn't come in correctly or not at all.

More info please...they look sooooo much better then all chrome or all black...Having a dark colored car I dont want to go black....will settle for chrome and have taken apart headlights before...just like to plan ahead. I didn't try it without baking them but I think you can just out take the 6 screws out in the back of the light and pull them apart with some elbow grease. It looked like it was just caulk holding it in so I don't see how applying heat would loosen it up
I've opened up Acura TL, Acura TSX, Honda s2000, Scion tc, and the FR-S lights and none of them were sealed like the winjets.
And yes I had a few minor issues with the chrome peeling off. I just had to touch up a few small spots with silver paint to cover up the black plastic that became exposed. I still would do it again if I had too because I really like the look. I would just say use high quality painters tape for delicate surfaces, take your time, only tape where necessary, again peel away really slowly? And finally, take the tape off within a few hours of your final coat of paint. Don't leave it on overnight.

I am going to open up my passenger light when I get some time. The rotation of the projector is a little off. I can take more pics then. It wasn't easy fitting a TL projector in there. Basically had to cut the original mounting bracket down to where it there was very little left and had to cut the bottom of the bracket totally off so the bixenon solenoid could fit. I was a little nervous the projector and bracket would vibrate for lack of support however I used a lot JB Kwik weld and have no problems now.

Here's a couple of other pics I originally took during the project

Do you want a change or keep OEM look.

Black for change
Chrome foe OEM.
