interrested. I have to wear dress shoes for work and im in the market for a new pair. Currently Dockers from Kohls, comfortable but feels like a clown shoe at times.

I've never had a problem wearing real dress shoes and driving. Maybe it's something you get used to, but I've driven long distances in these. They're really comfortable because they have nike tech buried inside the sole, but from the outside they make no compromises and look like real dress shoes. (Cole Haan Air Madison)

I drive to work in Alfani dress shoes everyday and have no problems with it. It's probably something you need to do for a little bit before you get used to it and to get the engagement points.

I know I was having a hard time switching between shoes for different activities. Flip flops and running shoes were by far the worst transitions.

Alfani's are considered cheap quality in terms of dress shoes and their soles are thin which would I guess make it ideal for driving. I've had Alfanis before and they tend to scrape up behind my ankle which was annoying.

Those Air Madison however sound interesting because of the Nike tech, but I don't like that high heel.

I wear pointy thin brown leather shoes almost daily to work. But then again, I drive an AT. I could wear banana peels on my feet while driving

I normally wear Cole Haans that are similar to these:

Minimal slip, maximum comfort, decent styling. Highly recommend them!

I wear some Bass dress shoes. I'm not very confident of them as driving shoes, not that they cause problems, but they're not very inspired. My casual Reebok's feel better for driving. If I wasn't such a cheap person, I'd probably look into the shoes listed here.

Anything with a thin sole is fine. Even better if it doesn't have a raised heel.

I used to drive with dress shoes, but now I just bring an extra pair of shoes. The reason is because my heel area of the shoes is worn out. Since my heel is on the ground, the back of the shoe grinds on the floor, wearing out the leather.

Couldn't believe it took someone that long to suggest that...

Was the first thing I thought of.

I work steel toe above-ankle high boots and drove stick shift Corolla for years.

Ain't no complaints here boy!

Seriously. There are worse shoes to drive in than dress shoes...
