My buddy wanted to see how close it was to the other Scions so he didn't charge me to do it. It looked fairly simple but he is the expert. If you are comfortable with a soldering iron than it would be a snap.

$700 EF that. not worth it for just cosmetics. i would not trust myself to do it so ill probably leave it as it is unless i can find someone i could trust to do a good job for a decent price.

hey all, im chris, i did matt's (greenguy101) cluster and hvac this past weekend. the cluster on these cars has a lot of potential! matt didnt want to change the needles, but im able to clear the needles and make them a separate color than the rest of the gauges! this is a scion first without the aid of the colored film!

anyway, if any of you guys are local, im available to do the swap!

I'm wondering how you pried apart the backing for the gauge cluster? I couldn't pry apart the backing to see if I could reach the led's. Did you have to just pull the needles?

Is it possible to get the PCB boards for the gauge cluster from a subaru/toyota dealer? Anyone know the part number(s)?

You can buy a whole used gauge cluster on eBay for $135 shipped. It looks like you can only buy the whole (not just a board) gauge cluster from the dealer for $425+shipping if the part numbers I'm finding are correct. SU00302600 or SU00302599 (not sure what the differences are).

Thanks. Looks like SU00302600 is for MT and SU00302599 is for AT.
