LOL.

The first Scion dealer I checked out and the cars there were already selling over MSRP.

The IQ starts at 15,995, but at one dealer the price was no lower than 16,200, and as much as 18,500...

If anyone thinks the FRS won't be marked up, you're in for a rude awakening on how car buying/dealerships work.

I'll be sure when the time comes to call or either use the internet sales division to buy the car at no more than MSRP. Invoice would be even better, but unlikely.

To get a good price you'll have to be willing to call and drive around a bit.

If you walk in blind it will be that much harder to score a good deal.

If you're happy and comfortable paying MSRP/"Pure Price", more power to you.

100% true.

It says it right there on the Scion website that dealers are free to set their own prices as long as that price is shown on their sheets and in the showroom.

Just another reason why I think Pure Price is for retards and only serves the dealership and NOT the customer. Well, it helps maybe 2 out of 100 customers, those that would have otherwise walked in and paid MSRP for any car...we all know one of those people in our lives.

Looks like this thread has quite a bit of reading, definition and letter recognition failure. Heheheh. MSRP turned into MRSP. Dislexia anyone?
