Getting the two yellow lights doesn't totally disable tc. It's mostly off, but certain circumstances WILL cause it to kick in some, and the tc skid light (center of the console inside the tach circle) will come on meaning tc has activated.
I've seen it happen on my vehicle. The pedal dance is the only way to actually FULLY disable the nannies, but you turn off EBFD in the process as well, which is something most of us decidedly do NOT want to do.

There's an item for 08+ Subarus called Setting Saver (IIRC). It would basically record your button presses and save it like a macro. So you'd have TC/VSC off and throttle set to S# whenever the car starts, or whatever combo you want.
Perhaps something like that can be implemented for this platform.

^^ That's the EBFD system giving the loose side of the diff some resistance. A Torsen diff requires some resistance on the low traction side and if there isn't enough resistance it'll unload like an open diff. To stop this the ECU will apply a bit of brake to keep the diff from unloading. It's not a stability thing, it's a keep the diff from unloading thing.

Interesting observation on my end. Seems the tc/vsc turns off when pressing the tc button LONGER than 5 seconds. Seems like the 3 seconds doesn't fully deactivate the systems.
