In my opinion, I feel that anything larger than the stock 215 is too big for stock power.
And what everyone else said regarding getting this car out. Clutch kick. A lot. I put in a good 10-15 kicks just to complete one lap at the track I frequent. Also the FR-S has an amazing e-brake, so use it! =)

First let me say Sorry if I missed it in this thread I may have over looked this question if it was asked.
Hey guys quick question. I am looking at getting BC coils for my FRS and I plan on drifting it at the local open drift days. I am just wondering if you guys would recommend changing the spring rate on the Coilovers to something different than the factory 8K/8K setting that the BC coils come with. Thanks for the help guys and hope to see some of you Local Chicago guys out at the track! |

8f 9r is a good recommendation. I tried 5/5 and it was meh. I'm on 7/7 now and it's better, but still so so.
I'd like to try 8f 10r next. |

Went drifting yesterday at Ruapuna. Managed to link A-track, which was hard slog NA.
If I was to offer anyone advice on what part/mod to get, it would be a flash tune. The stock rev limit is death for low power drifting, it was even a pain with the SC. If you hit it, the car just grips up. Get a flash tune, raise the rev limit to 8k, and this helps tremendously. |

Would you use an 8k limit if you were reasonably boosted?
