12V outlet is at the right rear upper corner in the glove box opening and has a plastic plug in it.

Can we have a wider shot of the passenger side (in LHD cars) to show where we can find the sound tube?

It's not yet annoying me, but I'm sure it will whenever I upgrade parts of my exhaust.

This'll be a cheap fix until I just do an entire sound-tube delete to clean up my engine bay.

Just pull back the carpet from the top in the passenger's footwell, below the glove box. You can't miss it.

I got confused looking on the left side (driver side) for this hole. Found it very easily as per the post above on the passenger side and plugged with the Canadian tire stopper.

Thanks OP! Haven't driven the car yet but looking forward to a quieter cabin!

Has anyone on here deleted the sound tube completely? I'm looking into taking it all off but can't find anyone else who may have plugged hole in the intake tube.. Only thing I can find is a $30 plug but I'm wondering if anybody found a cheaper alternative?

Here's the link to the piece I'm talking about:

loads of people on here have deleted it. However a dyno showed that the car lost 1hp by removing it. Just follow this thread and plug that bitch!

What's the size of the plug needed to plug the hole on the intake tube?

Wow. Best free BRZ DIY ever!
Now I don't have to hear that silly lawn mower sound when getting into high RPMs!

Stop hunting down these elusive plugs and use a soda bottle cap. Works just as well.

No hunting required as the 12V plug from the glove box fits. Looks classier and easier that getting a soda bottle cap.

I read the thread too. My suggestion was for those who prefer to leave their 12v plug in the 12v socket.
