I think you might want to give an indication of your budget also.

i think something around 2000 -2500 $usdollars. What do you think? I could spend a bit more if you tell me that the best for me is something more expensive.

RCE T2's ride better than stock and I can already tell a massive difference in handling. How much of that is the alignment I don't know, but I'm very happy with my purchase. The T2's have a slotted to mounting hole on the struts and I think the alignment shop got around -2 degrees of camber without even touching my camber plates with a one inch drop in ride height.

I think a large part of it comes from the superior dampening from the springs and struts. The really big bumps might be a little jarring, but for the most part when set really soft, the ride is pretty cush. Turned up to the settings that Myles suggested and posted on RCE's facebook page the harshness is acceptable and handling is noticeably better. I still have to install my rear upper bushings and get another alignment since I failed to do so before the first alignment but I am completely satisfied and recommend them without hesitation! Myles and the RCE team are always there to answer any questions you may have about them so shoot them a PM or give them a call. I'm sure they can answer any questions better than I can.

Can the steering bushings be installed with the steering wheel locked so you don't mess with your steering alignment? Is there enough play in the rack to unbolt it and remove the stock bushings?

I read in another thread that people have done that and it worked. The did not have to get alignment afterward.

I have the tic bushings but also some whitelines and I thought about installing the whitelines to see if I feel a difference. The tic bushings were installed when I did an alignment so I didn't do it myself. I imagine the tic bushings are a lot easier to remove than the stock ones

You don't need to take the rack out of the car, from what I've read. I did take mine out when I did mine, of course even after marking and rack the column it didn't go back in right. But either way it wont effect the alignment, only the angle of the steering wheel.

Are the solid aluminum bushings easy to remove? I would think they would pop right out .

Ride quality is mostly determined by damper quality, not spring rates. If the suspension is doing it's job and isolating the road from the chassis, while maximizing contact patch/time, then the car will ride shockingly well.

I'd get extended studs. With that you should be golden.

Hi guys,

My goal is to have a bit faster cornering but to maintain the fun factor by still being hable to kick the tail at sane speeds, keep in mind my baseline is a eurospec gt86.

Im going with 17x9 ET42 rims, not ideal i know, but its my cosmetic tradeoff. I already have camber bolts for the front too.

Everything else im undecided and needed your advice.

Im thinking of getting eibach prokit springs and either slightly stretched 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 tires. Nothing too sticky, probably falkens or hankooks.

Is thiis a good setup for my goals? Roughly what should be my alignment specs? Should i get stiffer front or rear swaybars?

Cheers guys, awesome thread!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both of those tire sizes seem way too narrow for a 9" wide rim.
