If you guys do a NOVA meet, I'd love to see your car and hear your track experiences with those upgrades. They're definitely in line with my wish list

No updates, it's cold outside. My first priority is getting the intercooler upgrade. I'll probably do it late winter/early spring.

I also plan to get the Cusco Steering Wheel and STi Shift Knob at some point. Might be a good winter upgrade. I have a lot of travel coming up and busy with my MBA program so both time and money are constrained!

Intecooler Kit:

Have you done a cylinder pressure check lately? I am curious to see how things are holding up.

Maybe I missed it, but where'd you get the hitch? Love that design and I need one.

Thanks - it's really nice car you've got there.

Thanks, you can find more info on the hitch below. A guy on the forum essentially custom makes them out of his garage:

Small Update:
I ordered the following:
- Cusco Leather Steering Wheel (via JapanParts.com)
- STi MT Shift Knob (via JapanParts.com)
- Motul 300V Oil and Filter Change Kit (via No Limit Motorsports)
- 10-AN Straight Thread O-Ring Plugs in Black (To plug my oil cooler lines)

I plan to change my oil and disconnect the oil cooler. I'm just going to remove the sandwich plate/adapter and plug the lines with some screw in caps with O-rings to ensure no oil will leak out. I haven't been able to get my oil temps warm enough in the cold weather and am not driving the car hard. So I think I will do that until the spring time when things warm up. I'm also patiently waiting some more results on the intercooler upgrade kit. I plan to order mine shortly after the new year but hoping to see a few more people do the swap. I'm not sure if I will go with the 70mm pulley right away, but plan to go that route. Seeing Delicious tunings numbers makes me excited for the possibility of this kit. It seems right about where I want to be with it power wise.

Update:

With the weather being so cold here in the Mid-Atlantic, I decided to remove the oil cooler until the spring time. The thermostatic plate worked well but once oil got warm enough it would go back through the cooler and stay at temps around 155-160F. I got the idea from @Dezoris to just remove the sandwich plate/adapter and plug the lines. I decided to get some black 10-AN flat screws with O-rings just to be safe. They ran about $10 shipped off ebay.

The job took all of 4-5 minutes. I'm waiting on my oil change kit from No Limit Motorsports, but given the crazy storm up in the northeast, decided might as well just do it now. It can be reversed in equal time when ready.

Adapter removed:

Plugs:

I left the lines alone. I was going to zip tie them but they aren't moving around much given the routing. I'll leave this guy in the garage until it warms up a little. I've been driving my car like a grandma anyways:

Thing's I'm waiting to receive:
Motul 300V Oil and Filter
Cusco Steering Wheel
STI Shift Knob

I plan to install all that and next up will be the intercooler upgrade, new tune, and perhaps the 70mm pulley too. Stay posted!

Just read through your entire thread. WOW. I love this car.

Let us know what you think of the CUSCO steering wheel I'd like to get one, and would be curious to see what people think. Some pics would be great. Cheers.

I was playing around with the Torque Pro app again. Super cold out. FWIW I did one pull and was hitting 9PSI of boost @7k rpms (running e85 right now)

Cold Air Intake haha:

Also, finally got normal oil temps again with the cooler removed:

Small Update:
Picked up a Mishimoto Radiator and Hose Kit from a forum member. It's still brand new and got a good deal on it. I plan to install when I (order and) get my intercooler upgrade in.

It is suppose to warm up this weekend. I plan to change my oil and take a look around underneath the car (it's been a couple months) and perhaps install the Perrin shifter mount that has been sitting in my garage for a long time if I'm motivated.
