Here's another tip to make that cleaner. Get the wire cover usually found on cars with HomeLink mirrors to hide the wire between the mirror and headliner. They are less than $10. You just need to figure our which length will work for you. Google words like "home link mirror wire cover" or "Gentex mirror wire cover".

Without seeing this video, I actually did the exact same thing this past Sunday with the wiring for my dash cam. Also put in a cigarette lighter adapter splitter into the glovebox one, so when I get my radar detector in a few weeks, I'll be able to use both the dash cam and the RD.

I use that one for my GPS, ill probably need a splitter as well then for my detector. Perhaps the GoPro can use the center console plug.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but this video is showing as private. I was wanting to do this for my Valentine One.
Is there another video on this out there?

Think a detector would work from inside the glove box? I've heard that if you do get pulled over, and a cop sees that you've got one, they'll give you the largest ticket possible. I'd rather avoid that. A friend has an S5 with one built into the dash somewhere, but I'm worried about loss of signal strength.
