Right. Lately, rumors don't make sense at all. We have gotta wait for the next major autoshow to info. I would also call it a BS.

I'm rooting for under 12.5 lbs/hp curb.

If there is one, the turbo version may hit the 12.5lb/hp mark, but probably not the base model. The 2010 STI only makes the 11.7 lbs/hp mark (figuring curb weight + 150 lbs) And that's a $35k USD car

I was talking strictly curbweight. 2650lb and 210hp would just about do it.

Very. However anything less (give or take 15hp/100lbs) and I will only build for this car, will never buy one for myself (unless it's insanely cheap and a lotus-like drive).

The '11 Mustang is quite a bit of kit. Not exactly what I'm looking for, but Ford really hit it out of the park. V6 now makes 300+ hp and the V8 400+.
Accelerates and brakes as well as an M3, and pulls about the same skidpad. Obviously it probably doesn't feel as great and as balanced, but it's half the price. Gotta give respect where due.

Car and Driver said there will be a 230hp turbo model and all of the original rumors were of a target weight of 1250kg. So you may be right as that puts you at around 12lb/hp.

^^^ If the turbo is 230 Im thinking the base N/A version will be closer to 170-180. But who knows at this point, we have no official information reguarding specs, except what toyota initially wanted out of it, light weight and 200hp.

Is The New Ford Mustang Better Than A BMW M3?

but those fact are only straight line... Now if you ran both of them in the track, which one gonna be crossing the line first?
