Go ahead and do that mod, I'm assuming it is adding a relay per side.. What you see going on in the video is more like a switchback effect between two separate bulb housings, one of them has the second color 'black'. The TapTurn wig wag feature applies across the two sides of the car, not per side like the video. No worries though. You can add TapTurn to this equation and it will work, with stock or LED bulbs in whatever sockets you decide to put them! TapTurn will show the same effect you see here when signaling and when using standard hazards. Flicking on the TapTurn hazard modifier for wig wag is going to produce something that will look totally wild that I'd line up to see ![]() Wig wag will work in addition to (on top of?) the mod you see in the video so you'll get kind of a "zig zag" effect when standing back looking at the front end of the car... Very cool, never seen that one done before with TapTurn. Quote:

I just ordered one and I can't wait! Thanks for the free fast shipping and tracking!
In the comments for the payment I asked if mine could be made quieter like you mentioned earlier. Not silent, just quieter than the stock blinker if possible. Thank you! |

If BuddyClubs are close to DOT approved then they must tolerate an on signal pulse of about 333 milliseconds (this equates to 90 cycles per minute signaling rate). TapTurn sends out 333ms pulses for normal blinks and hazard flashes. TapTurn sends out 666ms pulses for "slow motion" modified hazards, if you use that function. So maybe the BuddyClubs do a couple sequential series in this time? Strobepack chops this up quite a bit, so the on pulses are 100ms. I'm pretty sure the BuddyClubs can handle this if they're not switched to sequential. If you have BuddyClubs and are willing to try, PM me to dampen the risk.

I forgot to tell you all that this works exactly as described getting back used to tap/lane changes is awesome (just like the beemer) and get lots of "say whaaa thats cool" on my side to side flashers (stalk up or towards right turn with 4 way flashers button on). Small but important detail in my opinion, this device snaps right into the same clip as the factory one witch i found pretty great as there is no need to mount it anywhere to avoid rattle and it all looks factory

All of the tap signaling, hazard modes, etc.. work. The StrobePack option for TapTurn, if you take it, also works best for the BuddyClubs when they're not switched to sequential mode. Strobing BuddyClubs when they are switched to sequential mode is a bit of sensory overload! Strobe pulses work but they cut short the sequential effect, so you only get "half" sequences completed per strobe before the signal light goes dark. I'd say if you love the sequential effect then don't use the strobe modes of TapTurn... just get TapTurn regular. But if you are switching the BuddyClubs between sequential and normal modes, and you want the flexibility to have solid strobes ... then get the StrobePack option with TapTurn and use it when you want. Remember, it's easy to turn strobes on/off from the driver's seat by programming TapTurn using the signal stalk, hazard button, and key. Thanks Z for running the experiments for me! Cheers Scott
