They actually made that well before their header started working its way forward and up. Believe anything you want

If the header isn't touching the intake it isn't going to melt it.

Just to put this in perspective of how loud a Nameless 3" is going to be.

This is the stock header + 3" headerback:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrxfZmRVILY"]Nameless Full 3" Exhaust With 5" Offset Axleback - YouTube[/ame]

This is the same system with a JDL UEL catless header:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrR42x_MVIs"]JDL UEL catless header + Nameless Full 3" Headerback Exhaust - YouTube[/ame]

This is my current setup due to the above setup being too brutal for a DD with the drone/rasp:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APqcEZsNxSU"]JDL UEL Header + JDL Overpipe + Invidia Catted Front Pipe + - YouTube[/ame]

Hope this helps. I think if Nameless goes for a bigger midpipe resonator, it will help the 3" system some, but the piping seems to still hold the rasp due to the size. I think everyone that uses the 2.5" size will be fine on sound/rasp. If anything, the 3" may suffer a little low end, but end up with better top end, and more noise of course. 2.5" probably gives the best of both worlds.

My 2.5 nameless system with custom 2.5 mid pipe and 2.5 track pipe is louder than that 3" exhaust

I couldn't imagine swapping the axleback out for a track pipe on a 3" setup, lol.

Just to reiterate a point, the full 3" is designed and intended to be used for FI and max hp NA builds. If you are worried about volume, a 3" exhaust is not for you.

Any chance you guys could do a Vband clamp between the header/overpipe? ;-)

When you say "max hp NA builds" how much hp are you referring to?

It's not about hp target, it's about extracting every possible bit of power you can. If you're fine with losing a few hp to keep it more civil then it's not a max hp build.

Don't you think it's a bit strange not to have Dyno after so many month of R&D.
Shouldn't you have dyno every evolution of this header to back up your R&D?
Or what tool do they use to validate each step of their super long r&d?
I'm a bit sceptical now after so many month I would have expect a launch with at least a Dyno.

Well, it's there thread and there header so I think they can approach it however they like IMHO. Every page has people complaining about this or that but hey if you don't like there approach there's other threads/headers around town that might seem more appealing to you. lol
