Plastidip will not fill it at all. Try a bit of body filler and it should be okay...

Got my lip today. I was expecting it to be a lot thicker than it is. I feel like one scrape and it'll break. But still, for $85 bucks I can't complain. I hope they come with a polyurethane version soon, and that the holes match so I don't have to drill new ones

About to bite on a front lip, did you use 3M tape? How is it holding up so far and is the fit good?

Don't know how thin the genuine ones are but I think this was made to absorb the impact and protect your bumper also. Use 3M tape so you don't have to drill.

It will absorb the impact and protect the bumper but will shatter while doing so since it's ABS plastic. I don't think I'll even scrape it hard enough for that to happen being lowered one inch. The main reason I got it was for protection (I love the way it looks as well) so as long as it does it's job, I'll be satisfied

Yup I used 3M tape for the areas I didn't drill. So far it's actually holding up really good and the fit is snug. Just don't push up the lip too far up on the sides when installing if you do go for the 3M tape route or it might scratch your paint. I don't track my car, it's more of a daily drive vehicle for me. I've been driving it mostly local lately due to staying home for the holidays, but the tape seems to be strong enough even at high speeds on the freeway which I've driven a few times.

I've also driven it in the rain and the tape seems to be holding up too, so I'd say the tape is pretty durable. I got the tape from Home Depot and got the heavy duty one that holds up to 10 lbs. Might be overkill but I don't want the lip falling off anytime soon

While the fit is good, the lip is still fragile and I feel like it could potentially crack if you do hit it head on. I thought it would be a heavier product but it's actually extremely light. It is plastic after all!

Also, thank you guys for the tips regarding my side skirts. I decided to just return it to BaysonR and ask for an exchange since they offered me free return shipping. Will update once I get them installed and post pictures

Sounds good, I was gonna use the automotive 3M tape. I think i'll go ahead and order it now since it seems like the fit is good also. As long as there are no gaps I'm happy. The only thing I'm gonna worry about now is scratching the paint since I read someone scratch theirs installing the lip already, i'll be extra careful not to push the lip up too much I guess.

Can anybody with the side skirts put up some underbody photos? I'm curious to see what the brackets attach to.

Along the upper edge just under the rubber weather strip and down the outer edges

Everything got applied to the rear spat before install. I cleaned the surface with alcohol, then applied the weather strip, then attached the 3M

The sticky side of the weather strips go on the top edge of the rear spats right?

Will it hold once it's applied onto the car ?

Also how is the weatherstrip applied on the side skirts ?

Along the top ?

Thanks

Yes weather strip goes to top yes. It sticks to the spat and there is a edge that slightly overhangs the top of the spat. It's pushed up against car body and seals once applied. It will stay once applied, part of the strip is 3M'd to the spat and part of it overhangs and seals against car
