This car is a money pit. Probably all of those mods cost as much as the car or very close to it.

IDK, some of those TRD parts are absurdly expensive...

A rough estimate of the TRD parts on that demo car (~2mil yen) costs about as much as an extra 86 in the RC trim.

Scion is known to have a TRD Release Model (a la tC) which has some(if not all) of the TRD parts bundled, at a much reduced cost than buying separately.

Keep dreaming. A Scion FR-S with TRD packaged would cost more than a Mugen Si($30,999)

Just the brake kit alone is going to be a pretty penny. I wouldn't be surprised to see high 20s for a fully trd out frs

I think he may be in the ball park. Assuming the FR-S starts around $25k, the body kit will be around $2.5k, TRD coilovers will be around $2.2k... that's already near $30k before exhaust, sway bar(s), strut brace, BBK, and wheels.

Unless the FR-S starts at less than $22k, it'll be easy to run it up into the low 30's full of TRD accessories.

Just for comparison, a TRD RS tC came $2300 above base...
Quote:
The 2009 tC RS 5.0 features gloss black exterior paint and numerous performance products from TRD. TRD edition 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, in matte black with red trim, and red TRD lowering springs provide this tC with its menacing presence. For additional stability when cornering, the tC is fitted with a red TRD rear sway bar. A TRD sport muffler gives the tC RS 5.0 an aggressive sound signature, while a TRD exterior badge marks the car. A black rear lip spoiler will also be available.

The TRD theme is continued inside with a black leather steering wheel featuring red stitching, black seats with red accents and floor mats with the TRD logo. The tC RS 5.0 is also equipped with a cargo mat. Individually numbered badging completes the uniqueness of this vehicle.

No more than 2,000 units of the tC Release Series 5.0 will be built. The tC RS 5.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,300 over the base price of the tC. The base MSRP for the standard tC with a manual transmission is $17,000, while the standard tC with an automatic transmission model carries a MSRP of $17,800. The available black spoiler has a MSRP of $285, not including installation.
FR-S is probably going to get the same treatment, just a lot more pricey . . . red stitching and all. I just can't see it costing over 2x as much as the tC did, though. I believe the coil-overs and big brake kit will be optional.

The tC RS 5.0 was far from being a "TRD tC"... it was missing a lot of TRD parts available for the tC at the time... no shocks or coil overs, no CAI, no BBK, and it didn't have a full body kit IIRC. For $2300 they added about $750 of parts from the TRD USA catalog.

Scion won't be doing much for FR-S RS, as they have for Release Series Scions shortly after roll-out. All RS tC got a special color, upgraded seat trim, wheels, and one or two bonus parts... I don't see Scion changing that trend anytime in the first two model years, and we'll never see anything near the TRD 86 rolling out of any port in the U.S.
