The pressure of this system is relatively low so a intercooler would not help, especially on top where pressure is dropping.

Based on the dynos ~$2,000 is a great deal, I'm completely sold. I think for a street set-up the ESC is perfect, gives you lots of low/mid range torque which is what the 86 really needs.

Are we still on track for a January release? Will there be a GB for the first run?

How does something like this ESC compare to the Jackson Racing supercharger kit, does anyone have any opinions or thoughts on this?

I believe Rob is still targeting late January for first release. I can't speak to the group buy....I know that in this industry they can be dangerous.

It's really hard to compare the two side by side because one is full time FI and one is part time.

The ESC is going to give you more torque and power down low when engaged. The Jackson will give you more power on the top end once the centrifugal charger is producing more boost.

Have to look at price, installation and what you really want out of a power adder.

The ESC hits a lot of great points for its price. Full time FI is also great if you have the funds to get in the game.

My favorite combo right now is open flash tablet e85 tune plus the phantom ESC.

This gets you about 225hp and 200tq for ~2150$ and a dead easy installation.

225whp (270hp crank) is basically the sweet power to weight ratio of 1hp(crank) per 10lb.

Is that why it's so much fun to drive my car?

Really? 225whp and 200wtq for only $2150?

Is there any evidence to support this claim?

Thanks in advance.

E85 open flash tablet tune plus ESC.

I made 205hp and 180tq with just the esc and a brz edit tune.

To get above 220hp you need e85.

Thanks.

So for $2150 you get the Phantom ESC, OFT, e85 custom dyno tune session with Shiv, batteries, Invidia front pipe, Q300 cat-back, etc.? Have prices dropped a lot recently?

AFAIK you're the only ESC owner to exceed 200whp on pump gas. Was that TQ250 or TQ300? Was your BRZedit tune a generic base map or custom dyno tune?

As for e85, let's all keep in mind that most people will realistically need a flex-fuel kit and tune to make this a practical option. E85 and E50 are not the same thing.

Thanks.
