Good choice!
![]() I run the 384 & 370mm superkit on my M3 (with the optional RS29s) and I absolutely LOVE them. Can't wait to hear your impressions of the kit on this chassis!

I'm getting an Alcon Advantage Extreme 4 corner kit installed next week. It's the smaller version - 343mm version, not the 365mm version. 343mm version will clear 17s (tested).
Big $$$ for sure but I'm getting a deal because it's coming lightly used off a local shop car. Basically getting a 4 corner BBK kit for the same price as a front BBK. Can post up pics if ppl want.

Alcon maybe is not such nice, and shiny like Stoptech, AP and others kits. Looks a bit raw I would say, but works amazing. I've done 3000 miles so far on track only, and I'm very impressed how it works. For those who use cars on street only : Alcon is noise free, and dust free, even if used with expensive motorsport pads - Pagid RS29. Once again I highly recommend guys from JDL, for great support and help.

Got the 343mm kit installed on my car.
Using 20mm H&R spacers because there was only an mm or so clearance between my OZ Ultraleggeras and the callipers - i.e. they'd probably fit without spacers but the clearance would be minimal. Haven't pushed the car hard on these things yet but so far the brake feel is vibration free, with excellent modulation and pedal feedback characteristics. More-than-ample stopping power of course as well. Pads are Ferodo DS2500s. They're used (as is the kit itself) and have been tracked before but no noise etc. Anyhow, pics: Front ![]() Front close up ![]() Rear ![]() Rear close up ![]() Outside

You got 1500 "track only miles" on one set of pads? That seems rather extreme to me.

It's best result so far. On stock brakes, 350-450 track miles was good result. I think I use less brakes now, because stopping power is better.

The rotor costs are absolutely insane compared to the AP kit. $900 for two rotors? Really? What are the rebuild costs?
You can get two new AP disks and both calipers rebuilt for $500. I cannot see how these brakes are even worth it for the consumable costs alone.

FWIW Toyota Racing NZ chose Alcons for the TR86. They run the yellow pads. TR told me that they expect the pads and discs to last an entire race series. I have the TR guy a "what?l" look, but he was adimant. He added that he thought the cars were overbraked, commenting that it took 3 or 4 laps for them to 'come on'.
They're running full slicks, full race car. |

Pagid yellows are awesome pads. We used them a lot on STI brembos. Expensive but they last a long time...they're endurance pads.
