i think there's too much speculation being thrown around here. but we all have to realize that scion is a niche brand, and their release series in the past for all of their models have been a unique color, body kit, along with interior customizations. people who want those things will fork out the money to buy the car with the markup. most of the release series cars never offered many power options beyond axle back exhaust options.

this isn't a version handed down from toyota/subaru, it's a special edition for the north american market via scion. we can consider it almost like an aftermarket package, because it is not endorsed by toyota/subaru international as a whole.

and... i'm sure 86 enthusiasts outside of the US would envy that scion is providing these cool little limited releases. because we know everyone wants what they cant have.

@Luis_GT, I think you might agree that Rum would just bring it to about 93-94 Octane. Pitorro will bring it all the way to 98 Octane! ROFL!

Yeah we hijacked the thread but it was getting really negative. :-)

Id take a true TRD 86 any day over any of these releases.

For everyone getting onto OP, he apologized. Move on.

With Scion's previous "yellow", I wonder if it'll be something like this? If so, I'm eh since I would like a more canary yellow.

I'm all for a yellow version, but Toyota better give it justice.

Lol you guys should know by now that OP is a troll, so treat this thread like a troll thread unless some hard data is shown to prove a single thing that is being said.

His name has has been said in a different meet thread. It is not Bob Tyler. For privacy purposes I do not want to say his full name. He is infact a car salesman at Bob Tyler however (via Google+) but I haven't been able to find anything to state he is a Sales Manager. Take any info from him with a grain of salt.

This thread is giving me buyers remorse. I bought my 10 Series thinking my 1 of 2500 was going to be special despite having to get it in Silver, and now they are going to release a 1.0 Series (really? just gonna toss a decimal inbetween the 1 and 0?) that's 1 of 1500 AND with Bright Yellow? That's bullshit. I guess I'll just have to get yellow vinyl at some point in the future...

I wouldn't feel any buyers remorse if I were you until there's some kind of independent verification that the car mentioned in the OP actually exists...
