Lucky you, Subaru Canada charges almost 5% on their BRZ loan...

Yup 4.9%, credit union was 4.99%, and the bank was prime + 3%.

And we have our lovely 13% HST.

Glad hearing a few more positive review for Clint makes me feel a bit better about this whole process. I will be putting a deposit down as soon as I get back from vacation. As for my plans for the car, I'm probably one of those people that you guys hate... I don't know much about the car. I just really like the car >.< so no mods or anything. Just going to be my daily driver hopefully for next 10 years. After doing a bit more research I will most likely get a clear bra on the car as well as tint from the dealership depending on the price. Have anyone had experience with heuberger motors clear bra and tint job? Does it affect the color of the car or the appearance of the car? Thanks again!!!

Make sure you don't have Diamond shipping company ship your car. They shipped my car via Diamond and they delivered it with a flat and tried to cover it up with fix a flat and ruined my TPMS. In addition while they were unloading they scrapped the hell out of my front bumper with various deep blemishes/chip in the paint. Make sure they ship it with someone else.

I am still trying to deal with the repairs. Not what you want when you get a new car.

Fly to CO. and drive home..............or you might check to see if InterCity is available for transporting your car. If you ever watch 'Chasing Classic Cars' on Velocity, that's who he uses and he transports some really high dollar cars with them.

I am not sure if I am able to pick my shipping company. I think they handle it at te dealership. But I will def check in on that. Sorry to hear about your brand new car. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Did you have to pay out of pocket for those damages or did the shipping company take responsibility for that?? I really wish I could go to Colorado and drive it home. Reading some of the other forum members trip experience made it seem like an awesome way to break in the car. But unfortunately, my work schedule is rather busy ATM so that's not a possibility. =\

You can do whatever you want... it's a shipping company, you can ask the company to pick up the car at the dealership.

Much like booking a shuttle or a taxi, you can do it yourself or someone else can do it for you.

Dealer carriers are often cheaper and less hassle-free (for the most part). And, you can finance the shipping charge. If you arrange it on your own, you pay out of your own pocket.

Then why would you use them? You can get a loan through whoever you want. I had many options below 2%, although my credit and income helps quite a bit.

That really is unfortunate.

I'm one of the many who have flown out to COS and driven their new BRZ home. If there's any way to swing it, do it!

On a practical note, new cars occasionally have damage which the dealer considers minimal and easily correctable but which a buyer might not tolerate. A few years ago I declined a new Cayman I had ordered because one of the lot workers had scratched the paint with the car washing wand. It was a small scratch and they would have taken care of it but I still walked. You give up that option if you have a car shipped to you.
