In comparison, the FR-S engine sounds almost agricultural. I can understand why some people say it has a bit of Harley-Davidson in it.
Coming from a Nissan Altima 2.5 4 Cylinder with a tractor transmission, this car is a lot better to me LOL.

Descent exhaust note too.. I sometimes think the thin body sheet metal and other tinny Parts buzz and ruin the engine note...

Oh don't get me wrong - it's better than a lot of other 4 cyl cars for sure, but lacks that sonorous 6 cyl crescendo you get in a Nissan VQ35 or BMW I6.

Maybe a UEL header is in order, give it that classic subaru rumble

I agree with the BMW i6 being smooth and sweet sounding, but My 07 G35S was raspy and not so harmonious up top from what I remember..
Someday.. Whenever I receive my exhaust system.. I might be enjoying some boxer
Engine rhapsody with less buzzing.. Someday.. I'm hoping anyway..

I hate the blind spots, I'm spoiled by sedans.

And getting our of this cars takes a lot more effort than getting out of a Camry.

Actually I agree with you on the VQ35. The VQ35 "uprev" in my 350z sounds perfect until about 6000 rpm, then it gets thrashy until redline. But below ~6000 rpm, it's smooth and sounds great IMO.

Buckle the back belts

Happened to me first time I tracked the car since you are required to have the windows open and do good speed. Sounded like a sailboat during a storm.

Just buckle the seat belts. That puts tension on the belts and stops any noise at least for me.

Cup holders. I didn't see it as much of a problem when I first got it, as I typically don't have a drink in the car while driving, but road trips are where they fall apart. I can either have the drink in the way of me shifting or way out of the way where I can't really even reach them.

If only Pilot sold their coffee in bottles. I'll have to look into this...

Not a huge fan of the factory head unit. I'd rather have something like the FR-S factory one - just give me AM/FM radio, maybe a 3.5mm line in if you're generous. Not a huge fan of having to take my eyes off the road to switch radio stations. It's a shame there aren't physical buttons for switching tracks/radio presets on the unit, nor on the steering wheel. Doing anything with the GPS is slow and clunky compared to my phone, and having to wait ~5 seconds then hit "I agree" every time you either switch from audio to navigation or turn off the car. The "Automatic connection failed" thing is getting tiresome as well - I know it failed, I don't have bluetooth turned on on my phone right now.

The BRZ Limited keyless entry is nice, but it'd be nice to be able to have it unlock the passenger side door if the key is detected on the drivers side, not just the passenger side. If I'm travelling with someone, I need to either walk around to their side and unlock it, press the button on the key fob, or open mine with the keyless and then press the unlock button on the inside of the door.

Otherwise, I don't mind the low power, the seat belt isn't giving me any issues, the blind spots are minimal when mirrors are adjusted properly, or many of the other complaints. My 2nd gear does seem to be a little clunky from time to time, but it's not a huge issue, and I don't really mind the bizarre center console with the lack of an armrest (I go back and forth from shifter to wheel, the smaller diameter, stiffer wheel makes 2 handed driving feel normal, I don't find myself flopping my right arm down on the armrest spot) or the odd cigarette lighter location (I'm planning on hardwiring the stuff I always use anyway).

I also get a bit of a kick from the people complaining about the lack of features that were available, but they elected not to get. Seen about a million "No HIDs", "No heated seats", and other complaints about stuff that they don't have, but is available. If it was that big of a deal, why didn't you just get your car with them? I guess to be fair to them, though, I got my car very late in the model year run and didn't have to pay a crazy markup or wait 3 months or anything like that, so I guess it's a little legitimate if you couldn't/wouldn't spend the extra time & money to get the trim that has them.
Update

First complaint - I added physical switches, got a new phone that is a lot more reliable for bluetooth, installed a backup camera, and figured out how to turn off the display. Now that I can get rid of the brightness of the display while driving at night and can change radio stations without touching the buttons, I like it a lot better, and having the backup camera makes me appreciate the big display. For navigation, I still use Waze on my phone since it's a lot smarter and easier to use (my HU seems to have like no points of interest in it, and is very dumb in my part of PA, where lots of towns share post offices and thus an address will technically be part of one town, but have a mailing address with another town), but it's nice to be able to pull it up and take a quick glance at the map.

Second complaint - There is a way to fix this without techstream, you just do a goofy process. Did that a week or two after getting the car, not an issue any more.

Third complaint - Euro armrest helped it, although now my car is hesitant getting into first gear on the first shift of the day when it's cold out.

However, I do have some new complaints.

I don't like how tiny the glove compartment is, and how there aren't any openings in the door cards for storing maps. I like having paper maps in the car just in case I need them, and I can either sacrifice my glove compartment, or put them in the passenger seat back, or maybe the trunk. It's not as if there's no room for it, either. I've had the door cards off, there's nothing that prevented them from putting a simple slot along the bottom for storing maps like 95% of other cars have. Instead, they've just got the bottle holders, and further back from them them is just a chunk of styrofoam inside the door card, instead of a nice compartment for maps like this

I also don't like the terrible design of the autodim and homelink mirror adapter. Mine has fallen off. I've currently got it reassembled with some loctite and it's holding for now, but I expect it to start rattling again soon. No excuse for an established automaker to do that poor of a job on a simple assembly that is common to every car in their lineup.

Take the sound tube off! makes a lot of difference.

I don't think Toyota did justice to the car by not putting hid headlights. Props to Subaru for that! I also don't like the tires. Other than that I'm in love with my car. As fr as BRZ goes, I hate the front end.. no offense..
