Scion to Toyota

Just a couple question from switching the emblem from Scion to Toyota on the front bumper.. I searched but can't find the correct answer...

According to this thread..
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25659
Quote:
Currently there is no way to remove the front emblem badge without breaking off the ends of the pins that sit inside the bumper, (push nuts) which will fall loose inside once broken.
And this video...
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4Q0C6j3gxQ"]Toyota Emblems for the Scion FR-S - JDM - YouTube[/ame]

How exactly do I change the scion logo to a toyota on the front bumper?
The back seems simple, but the other thread says front emblem badge push nuts... (Sorry for being slow)

I read those DIY Threads a lot of times... But somehow it's not sinking in..
Can I just debadge the front emblem like the back emblem?

My understanding is there will be two holes in your hood if you simply de-badge.

If I'm not mistaken, the back has 2 holes too right?

I'm planning just remove the 2 scion badges, and put on 2 toyota badges. I can use the same exact method on debadging the front like I did with the back right?

There are 2 holes on the front and 2 on the back. The back comes off really easily. The front emblem pins mushroom out on the ends so they break off when prying off the emblem.

Yup... Once you loosen the adhesive, just gently pry it until the snaps off, super easy... The front did take a bit more elbow grease to get the adehesive off

Thanks guys. Sorry for being a idiot. Just to confirm... Don't wanna mess up my new baby... I can just remove the front emblem like the back, but I have to pry out the front emblem right? After that I can just stick the Toyota emblem on there.

Yessir. I felt the same as you, and it does take some force to break the clips holding it in, but do it patiently and carefully and you won't hurt anything...

I was impatient and headed to a car show, rushed it and messed up my 3m clear bra a bit... I was initially pissed, but some wax and a credit card fixed it pretty nice. Lol

Sorry for thread hijacking. I just joined this forum about questions about my car. I'm about to get a white FRS and want to debadge it. Are dealership willing to debadge my car and remove their dealer sticker on it? Just asking here so I don't sound stupid in front of them.

Probably dealership dependent... But they should absolutely remove their emblem if they put one on.

When I break the front emblem clip, is there going to be any negative effects? Also, the weather is cold right now, so you guys recommend debadging now, or wait until later?

Cool. Definitely going to get them to remove dealer badging. Hope they don't ruin the paint.. I was thinking if I'm going to debadge, why not let them debadge it while they are removing dealer badging too..

Most dealers will go above and beyond to make the sale, just tell them you want that done before you purchase and take it off the lot.
