also, boost cut works (thanks again @Visconti) and cel on knock threshold doesn't seem to be possible without either an external knock sensor setup wired into the cpc line or if ecutek adds knock correction as an input parameter for maps, which it currently is not. with an external knock box you could just use cpc voltage input and make a scaling map for it.

@jamesm your slacking on skype!!! :P

Stuff is looking good. I wish I had a functional motor so that I could join in with you guys. I'll be purchasing the racerom shortly and possibly screwing around on a friends car until I get my new block in. Quite excited to be working with custom maps!

im not sure if people really utilize their shift light. I just have mine on for the "Cool factor"(never had a car with a shift light). but how bout using the shift light to indicate knock. It blinks and beeps! just a thought.

I loved mine on my supercharger. I am used to my s2000 gauge and its easier to notice if im near redline (goes left to right) while looking at the road. I had mine set to a fairly low RPM telling me i am "near" redline for spirited driving. But the idea of being able to use it would be great.

unfortunately shift light is not an output for custom maps, only cel on threshold. i'm sure ecutek will be getting lots of feature requests in this area as more people use it.

i'll have an introductory screencast on custom maps up likely by this evening. just going over the basics, illustrating what they are and do more than anything else. probably use ethanol compensation as an example, or maybe something like closed loop boost so that i can go over integrals, not sure yet. maybe save the integrals for the 'post-introductory' cast lol.

DIY tuners that are interested in the RaceRom upgrade can purchase the upgrade on my webstore. EcuTek is currently handling upgrades manually so they can only be done M-F 5AM-12PMEST.

I also have two new services that I'm offering, a datalog review service and a service where I take up to 4 of your tunes and combine them in one tune file, enabling Map Switching etc. I can also help with any custom map setups.

I have no problem coming in here and chiming in on stuff but I'm offering these services for those who want direct answers and attention.

@Visconti
i'm going to be implementing traction control over this weekend. you have all 4 individual wheel speed sensors as inputs and plenty of maps to manipulate them with, so it's going to be pretty badass hopefully. i'll let you know how it turns out.

AFAIK, the shift light isn't addressed directly by the ECU. It is enabled by the cluster controller when the RPM value crosses over a specific threshold. I may be wrong, though.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the shift light is based off the tach not the Ecu.
