Just got this emails.
Quote:
Hi Scott,

I have just had pre-launch information pack arrive for the 86.
The information is still subject to final confirmation but it gives a pretty clear picture of the vehicle.
There are two levels and choice of manual and auto. Six speed man or six speed auto.
Some L1 features as per current info :- Premium 3 Spoke steering wheel, 16” alloys, Halogen headlights, Dual Exhaust, 7 SRS Airbags, Cruise control,
Power windows, Anti theft system, 6.1” Audio display with Multi info Display & Aux & USB
Some L2 features as per current info :- in addition to L1, Paddle shift on auto trans, Aluminum Pedals, Aluminium scuff plates, Tacho with Digital speed display,
Leather Accented seat trim, 17” Alloys, HID Headlamps, Daytime running lights, Smart Entry, DualZone auto A/c & 6.1” Sat Nav Audio.
Seven colours to choose from.
We still do not have a price ‘window’ but I’m sure they will have something soon.
Launch date should be late March or early June.
We are currently taking orders for the 86 (4 already in the system)
Are you still in the market?
If so, let me know and we can arrange to discuss the detail.

follow up email.

The specification information that I have has no options available on L1 or L2 but that could change later in its life.
As for the allocation, the first batch (April production) coming to us will be used as demonstrators (3 vehicles).
The second allocation (May prod) has not been allocated a number of units as yet but we would expect 6-8 vehicles.
These should all be here in time for a June launch.
We already have 4 orders but they could also pull out if the price/style does not suit them.
We can at least now show colours and features and take orders for those wanting to get in early.
So yes.

Slide you should do it! you got nothing to lose, if its too expensive for you. You can always pull out. Its better to hold a spot then to wait ages for new stock.

i'll be going on the weekends too. Not sure if they split QLD stock and NSW stock or do they arrive in the same ship and get transported by truck?

Yes that is correct.. specific cars will go to specific ports. Once you get a lot closer to delivery, you can track your new Toyota online.. we give out tracking codes etc to help alleviate some of the frustration.

Hey guys, new to this forum !!

Ive been interested in this car since i saw the pics being released, but really just comes down to the pricing if i get one.

Being in Australia I fully expect to be paying far more than any other country unfortunately.

That being said a base model WRX is $44,312 drive-away here in Canberra and I dont think the BRZ/86 would be approaching that sort of price would it?

Im hoping 35k for base model driveaway and 40 k for premium model driveway (add 2k for the AT)

Not true unfortunately. A lot of other countries in Asia pay a lot more than we do so I wont complain.

Base model will be more like around 40K driveaway and premium model more like around 45-50k driveaway.
We'll know more closer to the launch date...
