You never know, my my bet is you won't see much gain with a header, maybe a bit better midrange. I think for the TQ250 225 whp on e85 is probably close to as good as it gets (which is pretty good!).

I don't think anymore high end gains will come from the TQ 250. It only is making 1.5ish PSI (give or take a few .1) at 7K+ RPMs. Once we get a bigger "supercharger" or whatever it takes to make more PSI then we will see bigger high end gains.

@fenton & @CajunFRS On their website, they state "-Safe, low pressure non-parasitic boost (~4 to 2.5 psi)"
Similarly to what you said regarding 1.5ish psi, other people have been posting the same number (1.5ish). So what is it? What does ~4 to 2.5 psi really mean? Am I missing something? Also, would a 2nd 24V battery not work? You get boost from the first battery (loses charge) then you can jump to the 2nd battery while the first is charging, and then keep going back and froth between the 2, would it be possible to then have more constant boost (even though it would be constant low boost?) |

At peak HP the unit is making about 2 to 2.5psi. Its kinda the opposite of a centrifugal supercharger. They make 1psi down low and 9psi at redline. The reason the psi drops is because the supercharger speed is fixed and as the engines demand for air raises with rpm the boost decreases. Rob just doesnt want to advertise 4psi to 5psi because that may indicate that you will get that at redline and right now that it impossible. I have a slightly larger unit and I am able to make 5 down low holding 3 to 6000 or so and dropping to 2.5 by redline. In the end there will be multiple packages with modular upgrades. Get tired of the 250 and you can get the 300 or 350 assume the tech continues to improve. Hope that makes sense and answers your questions. As for the batteries I am running 2 x 24 v packs. They are wired together so that the battery bank is bigger while the voltage is the same. Mine is about another 80 bucks worth of lead and helps so that I can never deplete the batteries while using the tq300 even when beating on it on the street. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk |

Very nice! That is good to know, thank you for clearing it up. It is very encouraging that there will be different Tiers to the ESC package. This is like the 1000th time you probably got this question, I apologize, I know some drivers have already bought the P-ESC, but official retail release is in January or February '14?

That tq300 really looks intresting.. wish it could come out at the same time than i would certainly buy that one.. but i guess the tq250 will have to do.. still exited though :p im curious what the nameless header combined with this could achieve :p

Great minds think alike. . . If all goes as planned i should have the header and 3" over/front pipe next week. Unfortunately my car will be in the shop for repairs until after the new year. Once completed, the parts will be installed and tuned.
