That would be ideal - except there's an interest rate built in to the lease, usually not disclosed, so you might be paying 15% interest in those payments, and the buyout may just be slightly below a used car private party value when the lease is over.

Ask your accountant if the company would include any of the lease payments as compensation when doing your W2 (1099?)(ie, you personally pay income taxes on the payments made). I've seen this happen for people with a company car for personal use.

You just blew my mind. I'll ask but just in general terms. I'm Canadian so the other stuff probably doesn't apply.

I realize that the purchase price after lease is probably going to be somewhat close to what I could buy it used. But I plan on having relatively low mileage and treat it well. And it's hard to know the exact history of a vehicle when you weren't the one in it for every mile of it's life.

Got another e-mail today. Info contained within (relevant to Canadians):

- Colours not finalized yet.
- Base model estimated close to $29,995. Estimated $1600 for Dealer Prep and Freight.
- Estimated $1300 more for Automatic than Manual.
- Expecting that the Base model will be $3000 cheaper than the better model. They haven't decided on names yet. Could be Base/Premium or Premium/Limited or something else entirely.

I know not the best information but figured I would post what I heard and people can grab it with a handful of salt.

That's not bad pricing for a Subaru up there.

Yeah, even with that pricing a Limited would come in a little shy of $40,000 Canadian, and considering our dollars are pretty much at parity, kind of a little bit painful. But, pretty much what I was expecting all along.

I guess it will depend on what the MSRP is for the American car.

Hi All,

I guess I post this in here? I don't know for sure. My threads have been deleted and I can't even access the Regional Forums. If this goes to another Forum, thread or other, Mods please let me know or move at your own discretion.

So here goes:

We just received our first marketing "paper" on the BRZ.

The specs are basically exactly what we already know. The only thing "Optional" is the Auto.

I will go over what I have.

Colors:
World Rally Blue Pearl
Crystal Black Silica
Dark Gray Metallic
Galaxy Blue Silica
Sterling Silver Metallic
Satin White Pearl
Lightning Red

Exterior Accessories:
Battery Warmer
Car Cover
Engine Block Heater
Fuel Door Cover
Rear Bumper Applique
Rear Under Spoiler
Deck Lid Spoiler
Chrome Fender Trim
Fog Light Kit
Wheel Lock Kit

Interior Accessories:
Ash Tray
Ash Tray Holder
Auto Dim Mirror w/ Compass
Auto Dim Mirror w/ Compass and Homelink
Cigarette Lighter
Sunshade
Trunk Tray

Audio Accessories:
10" Powered Subwoofer

Performance Parts:
SPT Battery Tie-Down
SPT Oil Filler Cap

Besides the generic specs for the cars this is all that I have so far.

Thanks Matt! Hmm I wonder how chrome fender looks on silver it might be kinda redundant, but yay I have the option for a spoiler even if for premium. Less some how I get randomly a DGM... then I think Zgrinch wants my trunk lol

Kicker provides the subs for the Impreza. I believe it's ~$500 option.

I wonder if auto-dimming mirrors are also rim-less...
